    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Capgemini full-time

    Pros

Supportive management, keen to train and up skill, reward structure recognises hard work. Market tested salaries that are actually in line with the marketplace

    Cons

Pay grades are a mystery to most. Professional grades don't map to Technical grades so comparison is tricky between posts. Salary range per grade are also difficult to find.

    Advice to Management

Simplify the pay grades! Keep on supporting staff.

    Pros

Great for opportunistic people to develop your career. Loads of differing positions and jobs and management willing to let you try them. Good review system if you like change. Will assist you in difficult times. Flexible to a point.

    Cons

Don't expect to be successful if you just want to do your job then go home. Do more - get more!!

    Advice to Management

Ambition is brilliant however ambition beyond capability drives failure.

    Pros

Lives up to most of its aspirations Great people to work with Constant puch for personal development Constant push to improve senior management layer (in-house)

    Cons

I work in Aspire - we are a little insulated from the rest of Capgemini. Politics outside my bubble can be problematic As any big organisation management is layered with articulate incompetent External hires are brought in on big salaries often leaving better existing staff languishing behind

    Advice to Management

Not perfect but on the way...

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The best reason to work here that I can find is the people. As with most places there is a good mixture of people from all backgrounds and abilities. Alot of the them are very friendly and of course you get ehe odd one or two who aren't so friendly. The work life balance is very good too. Alot of the managers realise the importance of having a good home life and try not to let work impact too much upon it; they won't ask you to do overtime unless it is abhsolutely critical.

    Cons

The payrise and promotion proceedure. 364 days of good solid hard grafting can be cancelled out by 1 bad day at the office. Sometime the management do not realise that they're employees are humans and will make mistakes. Employee reviews can be based on the team pleaders expectations without taking into account the employees abilities which results in a negative review. The payscales are incredibly abismal too. Three years on the same wage without any payrise to account for inflation or good work.

    Advice to Management

The best people to ask about work and workloads are the people on the shop floor themselves. Listen to them and take on board what they say. These people are the most informed here and their advice should be listened to. Don't have a set opinion or answer in you mind and implement it regardless as it just fustrates us and shows us that you don't listen or respect us.
