Pros
Great for new hires. very hands on and relaxed work environment.
Cons
Slow to promote. Does not recognize performance if utilization is not to standards. Staffing needs improvement.
Pros
Management Consulting, opportunities to work with fortune 100 companies, travel
Cons
Inability to switch between practices easily.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide more training opportunity to Senior Consultants
Pros
The international profile of my colleagues makes it a great place to work at and brings rich and creative ideas to solve clients' challenges.
Cons
As a smaller entity than some of our competitor, there is an entrepreneurial feel which can lead to sometimes a lot of internal work on top of client assignment
Advice to Senior Management
Continue trasnparent communication and continue to offer alternatives to help employees juggle the various types of activities
Pros
-Good Sr leadership
-Well defined capabilities and expertise
Cons
-Only look at consulting work with less focus on downstream work
Pros
Capgemini has good multinational clients and offers challenging work. You are supposed to work hard ( at times even at the cost of the work life balance), however you get to learn the stuff. The focus is to contribute to both the client and capgemini - so its real challenge to peform at both the levels
Cons
The senior Management does not seem to be involved with the local employee and they focus more on the cost cutting. Overall their interaction does not seem to inspire much confidence in the employees
Advice to Senior Management
- Be more open in communication
- Provide regular employee updates
- Provide opportunities to grow in terms of trainings
Pros
Capgemini is a big company which offers good worldwide opportunities. Has relationships with many vendors and is active in emerging technologies.
Cons
Brand is relatively little known in the US while it is a major player in Europe and other parts of the world.
Advice to Senior Management
Size is everything in getting shortlisted
Pros
- Good projects and good teams in the life science practice mostly
- Nice top management, again in the life science practice
Cons
- My friends from S and T were never staffed
- Very little respect for junior consultants as for the work they do in S and T
Advice to Senior Management
Show more respect for junior consultants as for the work they do, particularly in S and TTry to build the practice more
Pros
The layered management provides optimism among it's executive ranks.
Cons
The lack of executive leadership has organically grown skepticism, stagnation and stifles creativity.
Advice to Senior Management
Reorganize from the ground up and incentivize it's lower income employees. Get more creative in their approach to business.
Pros
Stability, Size, Respect etc are some of the best reasons to work in Cap
Cons
Flexibility in choosing the work location is missing in Cap
Pros
With the turnover in the industry right now, lots of people are switching around looking for better opportunities. Capgemini has experienced this as well, leaving several spots for people to come in, lead, and show what they can do.
Cons
Capgemini is still fragmented in its service lines, so many times it feels like a jumble of companies loosely affiliated instead of a single organization.
Advice to Senior Management
Invest more time and people on strategic initiatives instead of focusing everyone on billable hours.
