    nice work enviroment
    pay is above minimum wage

    Cons

    long term staff of john lewis campaign shown no respect

    agents and managers some with over 7 years experience made redundent and move to new campaigns with no disregard to employees feelings

    HR mess up your pay and overtime regulary. Over paying and Underpaying... They will then repay you or deduct the full amount on your next pay leaving you out of pocket rather than resolving their error.

    All they care about is number and figures. Bums on seats. They then horde you around to different campaigns as they see fit.

    the people you hire are the people making the company what it is treat them with some respect and as a partner as the ones who want to work are the ones effect the most whilst the ones who dont want to be there sit under the radar.

    Investment in training is fantastic, substantial opportunities for progression and good variety in different markets and roles.

    Cons

    Capita are too focused on delivering metrics, figures and clear profit - not so much employee satisfaction. The negatives of its size are clear - getting simple tasks completed across departments is time consuming and frustrating.

    Pros

    They allow you to work fairly autonomous and encourage trying new things and improving processes, usually a large amount of varied work to be involved in.

    Cons

    Lack of personal growth opportunities readily available,lack of progression. This wasn't specific to the team but rather the strict rules of the organisation on the whole - leading to loss of talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Re-consider progression and compensation rules to encourage staff retention rather then allowing experienced staff to leave and spending more money to hire someone new.

    Office hours: Monday to Friday
    Great people to work along with
    Easy to get to venue

    Cons

    Poor salary compared to its competitors
    No continued training or development
    High turnover of staff - no strategy to retain its "best" staff
    KPI's set not realalistic - good messure to keep costs down
    Disorganised and no local objectives
    Poor service delivery
    Does not get the name of "Crapita" for nothing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Dont use "we are an outsourcing company" for lack of change or improvement
    More positive environment
    KPI's designed for individual departments rather than an orgainsation
    A thank you now & again

    Good development practices, such as Agile, tdd pair programming etc. Forward thinking about technologies. Good office culture.

    Cons

    Being bought by Capita, not putting pay rises in line with the rate at which an employees market rate increases.

    Less corporate, more of a focus on technology and bear in mind you are competing against other companies in a market which is in a huge demand for good developers.

    Pros

    The place was a nice place to work, a lot of diversity and people from different backgrounds, always encouraged everyone to pitch their ideas.

    Managers were approachable

    Cons

    No structure and the business did not have a long term plan apart from how to cut cost and cut corners.

    High turnover - they do not bother to keep their best staff and in most cases had position that were unoccupied for weeks, which caused a strain on other workers.

    Low pay compared to other industries.

    Promotion without pay is common, you basically commit more responsibilities and time, while getting no increase

    When promoting an individual, endeavour to increase the staff pay and try to keep hold of the best staff.
