    Funding (Current Employee) Plano, TX

ProsVery good benefits. You get benefits starting on day one. They cater to their employees and also want the best for them. You are compensated well through pay incentives and through company benefits.

ConsSome parts of job can be very fast paced.

Flexible work space. Lots of opportunities with training and volunteering. Company is willing to develop talents.

Data Steward (Current Employee) Plano, TX

Pros- Company has flexible work schedule
    - Dress code is not as rigid as other companies
    - Potential for year-end bonus
    - Has some great people- most people are genuine and fun

    Cons- Instances of undeserving promotions
    - Need to play some workplace politics
    - Might need to know how to treat some people differently if you want to advance quick
    - Flexible schedule really depends on your managers; if your manager is more traditional, you are out of luck.

Advice to Senior ManagementContractors are also very important to the success of our company. I think contractors should be treated by associates more like associates than hires. Contractors' opinions should be taken into account during mid-year review and year-end review to prevent undeserving promotions.

Pre-foreclosure department on a downhill slope.

Pre Foreclosure Collections (Current Employee) Plano, TX

ProsStill flexible about time off. (If your a full time employee).

    ConsDeteriorating culture.
Increasingly lower pay on bonuses (Through underhanded methods).
Top performers and people who put forth their best efforts aren't rewarded.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeeds to be more concerned about employee morale. All the cake and balloons in the world won't change a lower payscale. People do notice.

I've been here 6 years and I've never wanted to leave.

    (Current Employee) Tulsa, OK

    Pros- The benefits are outstanding
    - The annual raises are a high percentage of your salary
    - Promotions are based on skill and visibility, not tenure
    - The voice of the employee is valued
    - Ideas our encouraged and rewarded
    - The environment is professional and still fun
    - The doors to management are wide open
    - The schedules are fantastic; no weekends and no graveyard shift

ConsThere could be more focus put on improving the morale of contingent associates.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the incredible work! Don't ever forget how valuable your employees are. Don't ever sacrifice the open doors for any other priority.

Smart people with little leadership experience/appreciation

Senior Manager (Former Employee) Plano, TX

ProsFlexible hours when you need it
    Wages are strong
    Intelligent staff throughout the organization
Very community-minded with all kinds of great activities

ConsPromotions based on who you know vs. work accomplished
    Culture is deteriorating
    Strong players have all left
Weak leadership throughout the organization (not valued)

Advice to Senior ManagementManage more than one layer below you. Understand all levels of your employees to see what's truly happening. Throughout my time there, I was amazed at how little upper management truly knew about employees beyond their direct reports. This created a culture of employees being "afraid" to speak out in any way against their direct managers. You lose a lot of great employees this way.

    Over worked and underpaid

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Plano, TX

Prosthe benefits are the only pro

    ConsNo recognition
Promotions to those that are lowest on the floor
Top Producers aren't rewarded, or recognized like they should be
Screw the people who have the highest rank on the floor by letting them go, accusing them of not completeing the role of their job
Constant investigation on people if they actually are able to do their job with out being coached
Management is a joke~ They do not communicate, are not any where to be found when you need help, and are constantly baby sitting you to see if your at your desk

Advice to Senior ManagementPromote those that have been on the floor and know the role, not outside. Promote those that have the rankings, not the lowest end of the floor that have been inconsistant, and barely know what they are doing. Incent those that deserve it, not those that just barely made it, or just barely had an improvement over the past.

    It's purely who you know.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Plano, TX

ProsThe benefits is all they have left now. Neither the culture nor the pay are what they once were.

ConsThe pay and inflexible work arrangements.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees. Stop focusing on cost cutting. The company regularly makes profits yet you don't stop. You've destroyed the CapitalOne (as employer) brand in the DFW area.

    Awesome place to work

Customer Care Associate (Current Employee) Tulsa, OK

ProsIt's a very good place to work. It is very business oriented but still manages to be a playful and enjoyable place to work. Good people, good pay, and good benefits.

ConsWork can get tedious from time to time but that's almost all jobs. Just general office issues nothing specific to COAF.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work. You guys Rock!!!!

    ProsVery dynamic, challenging company
    You never get bored
    Very smart people
    Good compensation

ConsThe non-stop shortage of work prevents managers from fully embracing people management
as a result, personal development, presence, recognition are not consistently applied

Advice to Senior ManagementLead by example
