Pros
Very dynamic, challenging company
You never get bored
Very smart people
Good compensation
Cons
The non-stop shortage of work prevents managers from fully embracing people management
as a result, personal development, presence, recognition are not consistently applied
Advice to Senior Management
Lead by example
Pros
the benefits are the only pro
Cons
No recognition
Promotions to those that are lowest on the floor
Top Producers aren't rewarded, or recognized like they should be
Screw the people who have the highest rank on the floor by letting them go, accusing them of not completeing the role of their job
Constant investigation on people if they actually are able to do their job with out being coached
Management is a joke~ They do not communicate, are not any where to be found when you need help, and are constantly baby sitting you to see if your at your desk
Advice to Senior Management
Promote those that have been on the floor and know the role, not outside. Promote those that have the rankings, not the lowest end of the floor that have been inconsistant, and barely know what they are doing. Incent those that deserve it, not those that just barely made it, or just barely had an improvement over the past.
Pros
The benefits is all they have left now. Neither the culture nor the pay are what they once were.
Cons
The pay and inflexible work arrangements.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees. Stop focusing on cost cutting. The company regularly makes profits yet you don't stop. You've destroyed the CapitalOne (as employer) brand in the DFW area.
Pros
Great Benefits for employees and great 401k plan
Cons
Inadequate Superiors to lead departments and good ole boy network
Pros
Good benefit package. Could learn lots of stuff if u are in early career stage
Cons
Workload could be demanding. Lots of politics.

Pros
We have the authority to work with the customer and keep the customer in their vehicle by trying to resolve their account.
Cons
Customer's hide their vehicle and it can be a negative mark against you if the account is not resolved at the end of the month.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees with respect and not like children.
Pros
decent pay and bonus paid by company
Cons
Emloyees are never recognized except at headquarters
No Promotions
Advice to Senior Management
Emloyees are never recognized except at headquarters
Pros
very talented smart and dedicated co-workers. From a number crunching culture, second to none
Cons
Negotiate harder than you think you need to because you will stay at the same level for some time. Reliance on analytics can stifle new ideas.
Advice to Senior Management
More open about new ideas to can propel growth
Pros
The medical benefits are pretty good if you are someone that does not have a lot of medical problems. The yearly incentive for managers can be several thousand dollars. Most front line managers are starting to get laptops. You also get 401k matching, tuition reimbursement, discounted stock, and a decent amount of vacation time.
Cons
Managers rarely get praise and recognition for their work. Promotions usually go to those who fit a particular mold or who are good friends with upper management. You have to live at work to get a decent yearly bonus. They are all about numbers and less about customer service and doing the right thing. They will skip on making on process right if they can tweak it for cheap.
Advice to Senior Management
Let's invest in making processes that are as fail-proof as possible. This will ultimately cost us less money down the line. Managers need more praise and recognition opportunities.
Pros
Benefits package: 401K, increasing vacation/time scale are good.
Cons
Very bad management and sub par senior management. Chaotic environment described as 'dynamic' by those in charge. Bad interdepartmental communications. Problems [potential lawsuit material] abound for long periods of time before anything is done about them. History of problems, about which management and senior management were warned prior, leading to class action lawsuits costing several millions of dollars. Very 'political' environment: it's all about who you know and what you do for them.
Advice to Senior Management
You're transparent. There is nothing original about how you handle business. Get back to the roots which made CapitalOne successful. We aren't your secretaries.
