    Pros

coworkers at best, some perks if you hit sales goals.

    Cons

Banking Center Managers will use and abuse you until they do not need you anymore. Management wants more than what they give back to employees. Managers would promise promotion to top tellers without any REAL intent to promote them to maximize production. I've seen cases where employees are against being used and abused by management and are accused of not being "team players".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to be held more accountable. Too many cases of management covering up or saving their behinds while letting everyone else

    Pros

Good benefits, salary for most levels are competitive.

    Cons

Retail banking leaders are disconnected from branches. Very cut throat/micro managed. Big bank wanna-be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend time with associates that really work. Get to understand real issues and act. Most laugh at "Change Banking for Good".

I have been working at Capital One full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    -Work Life Balance
-Company and people genuinely care about you having and enjoying a life outside of work
    -Great benefits
-Managers care about your career development in addition to your performance
-Workout center and indoor basketball court (richmond)

    Cons

When its time for annual review and promotion considerations, you have to keep in mind that everyone is very analytical and smart, so its not always easy to be a rock-star. Still, managers do a good job of letting you know where you should work to improve/get promoted

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to be very open to development conversations.

    Pros

The flexibility is amazing - real opportunities to move up even in roles that are 100% remote. Great on boarding program, really prepares you to understand how they do business and ingrains a real loyalty from day 1. Lots of internal mobility.

    Cons

An organization that thrives on change but without material change management efforts, which means that things change quickly, and often without taking the time to explain why.

I worked at Capital One as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Large building to work in. Good benefits as long as you qualified. Working from home was not an option for a contractor.

    Cons

Leadership was no where to be found. Lacked any support for lower management. Tough environment to ask questions and receive help.

    Pros

Great company to work for. Great benefits and great training. Also I enjoyed the people I worked with.

    Cons

Some that were in management positions were not dedicated to the company and were not fair to each employee. This was not the companies fault . Just an employee that needed more training.
