    Pros

Young culture with a laid-back atmosphere. Small incentives (gift cards, trips, liquor, sporadic lunches) and generally positive vibes. Great first job - you learn the basics of sales (cold calling, prospecting, lead generation, quoting and order processing).

    Cons

Limited growth within the company; team leaders are very young - management is not very involved with our day-to-day; not paid enough. There is no flexibility in a day (8:30-5:30 on the dot). Also, there is no transparency with the quarterly bonuses.... they are great to receive, but no one is aware of how/why they are calculated.

    Advice to Management

Higher base salary & pay for the toll road for those who need to take it. Additionally, there needs to be more training in the beginning (learning about Carahsoft, the products, etc.).

I have been working at Carahsoft full-time

    Pros

Depends on what team you get placed on, but great team culture, young and smart people. They have fun benefits, intense training where you learn a ton about software and government procurement. If you put in the time you will be rewarded

    Cons

No cons so far. It's a tough job with a lot on the line, so attention to detail is important so it can sometimes be overwhelming.

    Advice to Management

Positive fun people to work with. Keep doing what you're doing, make it fun to come into work and easy to work with.

    Pros

great benefits, match 40% of 401k that youput in, company trips and happy hours

    Cons

LOTS of c, old calls, month of training watching videos for 9 hours a day, prospecting for 9 hours a day after, dont train on calls, 80 minimum a day

    Advice to Management

    Teach more about calling interactions.

I have been working at Carahsoft full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Such a fun group of people to work with.

    Cons

Management is disorganized and does not back you up when you need it. Pay is NOT enough to live in this area.

    Pros

Great corporate culture. Very young environment and culture . I felt a part of the group since day one Love the style of training as well

    Cons

    Pros

You gain a lot of knowledge and experience about Gov procurement processes in a short time as this is a fast pace, high work load company

    Cons

depending on what team you get placed on, business could be good or bad. Old school mentality from managers that have been there for a long time, so challenging the system wouldnt be wise

    Advice to Management

Encourage new ideas and support innovation. Something needs to be done about retention, having a high turnover rate and constantly bringing in unskilled, fresh workforce reflects bad to the partners and clients that you all support

    Cons

very micromanaged, the work itself is not that engaging, there is a lot of hypocrisy in management, very unclear pay structure, no room for growth

    I worked at Carahsoft full-time

    Pros

This is an okay starter job, fresh out of college. You meet new people, gain some experience and add to your resume.

    Cons

There is absolutely no room for growth. The people in charge dont go anywhere, so you will be stuck doing the same thing everyday with no creativity or change. You start at a very low salary... and it stays that way. You are limited on when you can use your vacation days because every other month has a reason for you to stay late. You work very long hours with little compensation for your time and energy. You are micro-managed like crazy, and treated how children are, with no minds of your own. There is also no human resource department... at a company this large that is absurd.

    Advice to Management

Get an HR department. Increase starting salaries. If working late nights, allow for late mornings / early afternoons the next day. Don't micro-manage. Treat everyone equally, do not pick favorites.
