I worked at Cardell Cabinetry full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

When Cardell was doing well as a company, it was easy to get a sense of pride and accomplishment for the work that was created there.

    Cons

When new management took over in late 2010, Cardell would never be the same company. Cardell closed its doors in September 2013. Lack of direction.

I worked at Cardell Cabinetry full-time

    Pros

They paid management well in relation to other companies.

    Cons

Very harsh environment. It was not uncommon to see people get cussed out or yelled at, daily. Managers and supervisors were treated this way, so they gave it to the plant floor workers as well. Some of management didn't act that way, but they weren't really acceptable to the top guys. The guys that didn't fall in line with this way of treating people didn't get much respect. They made a lot of changes in a short amount of time and seemed to focus on the wrong things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat people with respect and you will get more out of people. Threatening people only works when you keep standing right there with them. Once you walk away, they go right back to slacking off and make fun of you. Don't expect people to work around the clock.
Bill Tidwell is no longer the CEO, even though the website says he is.
