    Pros

Easy work as long as u have half a brain. Pay is ok. Tons of overtime available. Benefits are so so. Profit sharing is an option if the company makes the monthly goal

    Cons

Long shifts. No sick time. Management is nosey and unaware of production operations.

    Advice to Management

    Give your employees a raise

  5. 24/7 Process Plant with great people and happening time

I have been working at Cardinal Glass

    Pros

Opportunity to work on different things and move around. Keeps you actively moving and working being a 24/7 operation with many different processes.

    Cons

Private run company, benefits are not the best. Compensation could be better and not much communication between each individual plant for collaboration.

    Pros

Good work, shifts allow for a good work and home life balance. Salary was fair

    Cons

Bad benefits, did not foster a good working culture

    Advice to Management

Foster a better working environment and culture that employees can buy into

  7. Unfair, unprofessional and too much favoritism.

    I worked at Cardinal Glass

    Pros

Great way to earn a living. Lots of potential for OT, profit sharing and you lose weight quickly from the workout.

    Cons

    Unprofessional and unqualified supervisors
    Favoritism
    Lack of integrity from superiors
No such thing as an open door here
No consideration for employees with families
No sick time or personal days
    Overly expensive health insurance

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye on your team leads and supervisors. There are too many relationships outside of work conflicting with capabilities to correct the favorites when in the wrong. They are disrespectful and dishonest and a lot of good employees have left due to treatment, including myself.

    Pros

Friendly people, the Pay was decent for a college student. There were other college students that worked during the summer which you got to know. The factory was pretty safe. There is a physical therapist for if you have injuries.

    Cons

It has usual factory cons. There is a lot of noise. You do sometimes cut yourself a bit (but great safety equipment makes it usually no worse than small nicks.)

    Pros

Cardinal hires some pretty great and over-qualified people. Night shift your left alone. Great in-shift relationships with coworkers

    Cons

I witnessed shifts being pitted against each other and other supervisors can be lax on the other shifts. Constant schedule change kills you. Not enough leave time and they will fire you over time off than work performance. Profit sharing is almost non-existent.

    Advice to Management

Pay a real wage and make an effort to take care of your employees. They are your backbone of the company

    Pros

I get a fat extra check every month from profit sharing, dont have to put my own money in 401K, have great co-workers, schedule allows plenty of time off, all of management worked their way up the ladder, advancement opportunities for those who work for it. Effective training, Supervisors and Managers generally pretty cool and involved.

    Cons

Low starting wage, but money comes in time with effort. Long 12 hour days, but results in long weekends, Have to work with some slackers that never seem to get fired. Lots of turnover with new employees. Lots of people complain about high deductable medical, works great for me.

    Advice to Management

Focus on getting rid of the guys who have been slacking for years, Give more frequent raises for new hires to keep them around longer.
