Former Employee – worked at Cardinal Health full-time for more than a year
Pros – They allow the numbers and stats to drive change. You don't have a manager picking an arbitrary number out of the air and requiring you to meet that standard.
Cons – It's never enough or what have you done for me lately.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Cardinal Health part-time for more than a year
Pros – PTO, bennies are decent. Some good co-workers.
Cons – Lower level employees don't get any recognition for their work. You can bust your tail, and nobody notices. Lifting heavy lead filled FDG cases will eventually impair your health. Pay is sub-standard for all the responsibilities you have.
Advice to Senior Management – Take the time to recognize when employees are doing a great job, after all, they are the one's who make the company successful. And a raise in pay wouldn't hurt either.

Current Employee – been working at Cardinal Health full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – You may see this as a pro - Very little management involvement with the sales force which means free time.
Cons – No Pay - No Growth - incorrect sales tracking - Poor Employee Attitude - Bad Customer Opinions
Advice to Senior Management – Develope a pay structure that rewards sales representatives for their hard work. The current pay structure is well below industry standards. For a Diagnostic Specialist for example to be at plan and on schedule to make less than $100,000 per year is an injustice. For a sales rep to work night and day fixing company mistakes instead of selling and growing business and not make $100,000 per year is a joke. If your goal is to hire employees who work themselves to the bone and not pay them, you are doing a great job.
Yearly Salary fo a Sales Rep between $50,000 and $65,000 per year is below industry standards.
Yearly Salary for a Diagnostic Specialist at $70,000 is well below industry standards.
My advise would be to stay away from Cardinal unless you are right out of college or un-employeed.

Current Employee – been working at Cardinal Health full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Great opportunity with a Fortune 40 company. Great benefits and great industry...
Cons – Unless you are in "a circle" you won't progress. Also, not the best paying industry due to minimal margins.
Advice to Senior Management – Wish they would pay internal employees to match market conditions and value to company. Took an OPEX Black Belt role after earning my MBA while working at Cardinal and was not compensated for enhanced skillset even when encouraged to do so by the business.

Former Employee – worked at Cardinal Health full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Great training programs. Aggressive company and good people there to work with.
Cons – Cardinal is famous for letting their experienced people go. There is constant change there in job titles, and they lay off too many people that have gained much experience there.
Advice to Senior Management – Too many people are placed on an artificial "fast track" for advancement. I've had more than a dozen people that I reported to in 12 years. Directors are promoted to departments in which they've never done that type of work. How can they possibly lead that team of workers? Cardinal needs to promote from within their department, so the people running the department knows what the issues are, and how to fix them.

Current Employee – been working at Cardinal Health full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Pay isn't terrible, if you can get in via a college program, good for career growth to learn and move on
Cons – long hours, terrible work life balance. Really need to be young and willing to work 70 plus hours a week to keep up
Advice to Senior Management – Stop changing so much

Current Employee – been working at Cardinal Health full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – I learned a lot about the core functions of my career path. My Cardinal experience has been highly respected. Many interviewers and recruiters have said that have wanted to work there themselves and were impressed.
Cons – I was ridiculously underpaid.
The corporate political climate was the worst I have experienced within my 8 year career.
Advice to Senior Management – I don't even know where to begin.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
