    Pros

Cardinal is a great place to learn and grow. Staff was great, a lot of opportunity for internal growth.

    Cons

Pay was not competitive, bonus structure not that strong.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand the types of people that are leading or managing. Some have been moved to positions because of behavioral issues towards others and are not properly held accountable.

    Pros

Tremendous job at providiing strategic vision and roadmap for each fiscal year. Lots of opportunity to network across multiple specialties within the healthcare market.

    Cons

Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and work hard to make the necessary impact, but also know that you'll gain a diverse skill set which will lend to promotions and/or job changes as you grow your career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work harder to retain good talent. And should they leave to explore options outside of Cardinal Health, don't hesitate to reach back out to bring them back into the family culture. There's much to be said of those who understand the industry trends, have the network within the company and can make a positive impact.

    Pros

Excellent culture, benefits, and work environment. Leadership is strong and hierarchy is decentralized. Very flexible working schedule and realistic goals and expectations.

    Cons

It's a big company so like other big companies can be difficult to move through the red tape and identify key decision makers. Company is growing through acquisition adding complexities.

I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time

    Pros

The benefits and PTO from day one are great. Security is upheld and a major concern. Does the best they can to please their customers.

    Cons

Management(save for one or two supervisors) tend to ask our opinion on things, then think that their own thoughts are what we said instead and go with that. Equipment needs fixed/replaced BADLY! 11+ hour nights back to back for weeks. Constantly changing clock in times with maybe a week at best notification. High productivity demands with low support. Will be penalized if you need to leave early for any reason, even if TOLD to go home due to sickness or even injury. Will be penalized if you leave ON TIME when there are routs left to be picked. Will NOT train those that are interested in being trained for different areas even if said areas are in dire need of more personnel.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

LISTEN to your employees, they do have brains, and one ore two MIGHT actually have a better idea than you do every now and then.
