I have been working at CardioNet as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Flex Hours, nice complex, thats about it.

    Cons

The training provided by management is horrible, there really aren't any guidelines. The work is very boring. There's no incentives or bonuses for good performance. Hard to get promoted managers are very clique and promote friends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to train your employees correctly so they can be successful.

I have been working at CardioNet full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Starting pay is ok and employees can be helpful that is about it.

    Cons

    No communication between different departments
    No advancement in the company
    Flaky processes across the departments
    Very repetitive customer service
Holidays are off "but" if not enough volunteers to work that day you WILL have to work.
    Shared cubes

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No one knows what is going on in the company. Review your management team as they do not fix problems only set it off to the side hoping upper management forgets about it.

    I worked at CardioNet

    Pros

If you don't ask too much from your employer and just need a job that has strict regimes & little opportunity for advancement then this is the company for you.
    Clean working environment. Regular pay.

    Cons

The leadership are mostly terribly narcissistic individuals slavishly devoted to the company mantra. It's more about money & numbers than actual care & concern for the patients.
Opinions and ideas are not tolerated well & individuality is frowned upon.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your people. They are your greatest resource. Individualistic people can be great motivators & benefit the company and don't need to be viewed as a threat.

I have been working at CardioNet full-time

    Pros

Good products and services sold. Reasonable benefits.

    Cons

Profits driven not realizing the company is of people - a services company. Upper managment has no clue what really goes on and does not really care about the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really look at the company and get involved in the day to day/week to week/month to mnth operations not just your stock price. Grow a great place to work and people will put out a quality service.

I have been working at CardioNet full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

decent pay, excellent PTO, there are still a few great people who work here.. for now.

    Cons

insurance is too expensive, too many VP's and directors, anti-American (they are pro outsourcing to foreign countries), lack of communication as a whole

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to be physically present to run a successful company that wishes to maintain success. Considering so many negative changes that are coming right along with the positive, moral is low. Patient care needs to be taken with the highest regard, should be one of the top priorities. Some comments I have heard coming from directors is actually just frightening. Great healthcare equals more business. With the separation of so many facilities, all upper management should be on site at each location- minimum of once per month. This is how you maintain a tight ship. Email response times should take no more than two days, and when management (any department) can't handle all of their emails and voicemails in a timely matter, maybe less management and more assistants for a manager would be a better choice. Two weeks for a response is unacceptable- which is a reoccurring trend. Recently it seems like lower level employees are working their butts off, while being ignored by senior vp's, directors and such. There comes a time when a company needs more mice and less cats.
