    Benefits, paid holidays, purchase pto days, wellness activities

    Cons

    poor Upper Management, HR push-back, your voice is never heard, low salaries, negative employees, no investment in the needs for certain departments, corportate games

    Advice to Management

    Do a more intense screening to get the right bodies in the right seats, make employees follow the chain of command, find a way to track time/attendance more accurately, stop the favortism

    Good people, good management, lots to learn, dynamic environment in IT. Stable job.

    Benefits and salary are outstanding; great internal promotion potential, lots of training and work/life balance. ability to telecommute which lends to having a good work/life balance.

    Pros

    Benefits, reasonable commute, easily accessible to some okay(not great or outstanding) food places.

    Cons

    Company Values - nothing good other than bottom line & to share holders. Bill Jews had a great vision, but that no longer exists.

    Advice to Management

    Total shakedown to rid the company of the sweat shop mentality, while all the deadwood goes out to 2 hour lunches & gets manicures & shops online while others break their backs! You REALLY need to look at HR!!!!

    Pros

    Benefits were pretty good. There company had many initiatives to improve how business got done but was not as good at implementing these changes. The insurance overview training was quite good.

    Cons

    Weak implementation of good ideas. Management was overly distracted by office politics, Reorganizations and layoffs were the order of the day. More than half of the people had multiple changes in jobs or supervisors within CareFirst during the previous 1-1/2 years. Job security was constantly on the mind of the employees.

    Advice to Management

    Reduce the political games and favoritism. With commitment to improve and the diligence to follow through, the company has the potential to become a very good employer.

    This company offers generous paid time off, corporate discounts programs, excellent training programs and benefits.

    Pros

    Job security. Too much work. Never lacking for things to work on.

    Cons

    Too much work at times. Although I prioritze very well, still too much work. I do the work of 4 people but that's okay, I feel valued for it.

    Advice to Management

    Help associates climb the corporate ladder. Really sit down with them and advise them on what they need to do in order to get a leg up. And follow through--postponements do not count.

    Pros

    The pay is not bad and benefits are good

    Cons

    Senior Management has turf wars constantly and everything is too political here. Expect to work 60 hours+ as a Manager.

    Advice to Management

    Clean house!
