    Pros

    I had a great job with many tasks that I enjoyed on a daily basis I was back up for the receptionist. I was always ready for new challenges, which we were always in learning basis.

    Cons

    The healthcare has grown but not in this area so my company moved to Virginia and the Washington area . We had great benefits and many perks for the employee.

    Pros

    CareFirst overall is a good healthcare company with wonderful benefits. The general direction of the company continues to be positive.

    Cons

    There are few opportunities for advancement, as CareFirst upper management are tenured (mostly 15 yrs +). The company overall would be stronger there were more opportunities for advancement by offering more cross-training of the staff.

    Offer more opportunities to train/cross-train talented staff so they can continue to grow with the company.

    Pros

    CEO is fiercely about service and digital movement and fully willing to rework healthcare for service. It is a crazy time for healthcare and lots of demand from the market to increase number of insureds and Burrell takes this mission seriously as the head of the largest Not for profit in the area.

    Cons

    Very degree centric....no degree, limited options, regardless of delivery history. Tough breaking through old regime but if the data is on your side, magic can be worked.
