    Pros

    Great people.
    Work-life balance.
    Great benefits.
    Great culture (prior to merger).

    Cons

    Hard to advance.
    No one is really given any answers with the new merger, everything is up in the air.

    Good Benefits
    Comparable pay
    Generous time off

    Cons

    As outlined in other reviews, CareFusion suffered from a lack of defined Culture. I believe that the announcement that BD had acquired CareFusion has provided a sense of hope.
    Lack of accountability
    Difficult to work within organization and even within department ("Its not my job" - attitude)
    Never any sense of job security
    ZERO work-life balance

    Advice to Management

    None: They are all gone

    Coworkers are hard working and friendly. Had a strong collaborative culture.

    Some management decisions are made without understanding the magnitude of the decision to the employees and stress on the company.

    Loyal employees whom really care about quality of product from concept to finish product.

    Very limited opportunities for advancement.

    Pros

    There is always plenty of projects in both the US and outside of the US. Benefits and compensation were good with opportunity for equity.

    Cons

    Immature management; strange decisions and behavior.

    Hopefully things will change with BD.

    Pros

    PTO and benefits are better than average for the industry. Flexible work hours. Crean restrooms, ample parking, decent commute, caring coworkers.

    Cons

    If you are not part if the "good old boy" network, just forget about any advancement in your career with CareFusion. Many managers exhibit a high degree of poor management skills that undermine the morale of their departments. Issues that can be perceived as hostile in any half-way decent work environment, at CareFusion are not addressed if the transgresor manager belongs to the good old boys club.

    Advice to Management

    Please get rid of the mediocre and pusilanimus middle management at the manufacturing sites that is hurting the employees morale and CareFusion's bottom line with poor productivity.

    Pros

    Important products contribute to improving healthcare, diverse portfolio of technology, one of largest San Diego employers. Some enlightened managers (just not enough of them).

    Cons

    Ancient & miserable systems for development projects makes very hard to get product out. Gaping divide between management with professional staff leads to some nasty politics & nepotism.

    Advice to Management

    Get out of your office. Grow the market, stop milking your customers.

    Pros

    Very good benefits and great products. Some very talented and bright staff. Some departments much better than others in terms of leadership.

    Cons

    Hostile environment (depending on the department) with toxic management who feel they can do whatever they want with no repercussions. Immediate supervisor had no clue on how to effectively communicate with the team and ruled in the most immature, narcissistic fashion. Very political and unproductive management behavior. Good staff trying to perform in spite of bad leadership and having burnout from the stress. So glad to be gone.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to how staff is being treated and stop allowing petty vicious behavior to be rewarded. Show more respect for staff, and you will get better performances from everyone. Get rid of bad managers who behave in inappropriate and hostile ways toward a team they should be motivating and communicating with.
