I have been working at CareFusion full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The paid time off is generous.

    Cons

Not enough space to pontificate on the cons. I've worked for CareFusion (formerly Cardinal Health) for 15 years. The "leader" has no clue, only self enlightened interest. Profess to care about customers, employees, and end users...not. Ageism is rampant and most at the VP level and above are incompetent. In addition this is the most "siloed" company I ever worked for. No common goals; upper management only does what they can to get a bonus at the expense of everyone. They are trying to "cost save" the company to success rather than focus on innovation and actually grow the business. The only reason I work here is I thought it would be better than Cardinal Health. I was wrong. When the economy improves there will be a giant sucking sound as employees leave en mass (including me).

I worked at CareFusion full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - The company corners the market and always has customers
    - Good pay
    - Big company with lots of resources
    - Good benefits
    - Easy to stand out and do a good job

    Cons

    - Lots of people who only think about themselves and their career and won't lift a finger unless it directly affects them
    - Somewhat disorganized, not run like a tight ship
    - Many people don't care about the job, the product, or their coworkers
    - Brown nosing is rewarded as much or more than hard work
    - The good people often get let go and they keep the drones

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the revolving door hiring and lay offs. Managers need to keep their employees for more time instead of always having to train new ones.

I worked at CareFusion full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

None! You can work all the overtime you want. It'll provide a paycheck while the job search continues. Nice co-workers, but beware who you talk to, corporate politics always at work.

    Cons

Long hours, unending work loads, zero recognition for performance, abysmal job/pay progression. This company thrives on inefficiency and excessive top heavy management, pointless ineffective corporate reorgs (4 over the 3 yrs I was there), company touts an 80/20 promote within "concept"; to the contrary of reality, exclusive "boys club" only the close-knit few get the opportunity progress. Zero work life balance.

Employee are treated as objects being passed from one group to the next. Employee morale could not possibly be lower.

Best case scenario for rewarding top performers; 3-4% raises (only if you're lucky, and on good years)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Scale back management, too top heavy. Maintain a work-life-balance.

    Pros

Nice facility, has a gym, and free yoga. The people are nice, but be careful who you befriend

    Cons

Great place to work if you like to be micromanaged and LOVE employees who stab you in the back, and are hypocritical. HIGH turnover rate

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being so quick to judge, and micromanaging is bad for employee moral. Follow Google's advice. You will retain better employees!

I have been working at CareFusion full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Carefusion is a company comprised of several smaller companies who through corporate politics, can't get their act together. Never quite potty trained and wet behind their ears, spilling out big words that they haven't grasped the meaning of. If you're looking at a company that over promises and under delivers take a hard look at this company.

    Cons

Infastrucure is consistently being compromised with incompetent and jr level SAP liasion, Upper level Business Management Team and IT Design and Developmemt are constantly edging for ice hockey power plays and Call Center plagued with constant dropped calls from customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop, look, listen to your employees who put their lives on hold on a continuous basis due to inadequate system errors, software upgrade issues, debacled product releasses and not really understanding your actually playing with big boy money. Spend wisely!
