Pros
Great benefits. People are fun, really smart. Good balance between home and work. Casual dress code. Knowledge sharing is abundant.
Cons
Lower salary than industry standards. Only people that work on high profile projects get recognition. Old old old code. People from the business side of the company do not care about the quality of the technology foundations as much as the products, which is slowly killing the company's ability to be agile.

From a great work environment to being able to come into the office in jeans and a t-shirt this workplace is great. From what I hear you don't get paid as much as some other places but the atmosphere and other benefits greatly outweigh the salary aspect.

Make sure you are rewarding and recognizing the people who make your business run like clockwork. Improve communication between departments by holding joint planning meetings or just ensuring notification is given.

- A lot of freedom on how I do my job
- They test an area before they throw too much money at it.
- Focus on Leadership, not Management at the upper levels is very good
- They do employee surveys and actually make changes from them

- Early leadership training is needed for anyone becoming a Team Lead or Manager
- The sales area is brutal but the potential to be very young and make a lot of money is there

You'll work with a fun group of people in a casual work environment with good benefits. Work hours are flexible, and you can telecommute/work-from-home a couple of days a week if you need to. Management styles vary, but almost no one has a reputation for micro-management. C-levels are accessible to anyone (for now), and in general, are receptive to new ideas. Hardware and software upgrades are regular.
Cons
Technology-wise, you'll be working with a bloated, aging code base and all the frustrations and pains that go along with developing in and maintaining it. Its difficult to stay focused when the development environment takes 10 minutes between successful builds (or crashes). Documentation and coding practices vary widely from group to group, so finding out about features means tracking down the developer that originally made them (not possible in many cases). Because of the bloat in the code-base, and the mundane nature of your projects, you won't be able to rely on your work to keep your skills sharp. You'll also be paid 20-30% less than your industry peers.
