Cons

Advice to Senior Management
be more helpful
Pros
Great people I enjoyed my time there. Great opportunity to hustle and make money. I was en route for $70K in the first ten months.
Cons
Quotas, Diversity training, Can improve incentive compensation
Advice to Senior Management
Improve culture
Pros
Great benefits, commission structure and ramp up bonuses are good. They do provide great training for new grads and inexperienced sales reps.
Cons
Dial requirement is high and providing a WII to play doesn't help.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide more guidance and constructive criticism to employees who struggle to hit quota, versus firing them. (coming from someone who did not get fired)
Pros
Careerbuilder gives you the foundation for a great career in sales, they have fantastic benefits, they promote within, great work life balance, and the sky's the limit if you work hard.
Cons
The salary base is very low, although the experience you will gain in a short period of time will allow you to move quickly into a higher paying role. The environment is very post college, not the type of environment if your looking for a large professional career. There is very high turnover, so its hard to really establish yourself when you may have 3-4 different managers in less than a year or have your entire team turnover while your in a role.
Advice to Senior Management
Compensation is not comparable to other positions in the field. Higher pay would attract better talent and reduce the high rate of turnover.
Pros
The benefits are really good and the overall yearly target compensation is good. We have a lot of outside team building activities.
Cons
The base salary is on the lower end. If you miss your quota, your check will not be much. Its better than commission only though.
Advice to Senior Management
Promotions should be given to employees based on a proven record and passion to advance in and work for the company.
Pros
Sr. Mgt is solid in overall vision
Cons
Middle Mgt. is more concerned with covering their butts.
Advice to Senior Management
Talk to front-line employees more
Pros
Very innovative and solutions focused. Sr. Mgmt does a great job of constantly evolving based on customers' constantly changing needs.
Cons
Leadership at the management level (not senior leadership) is very inconsistent and minimal at best. Good sales people don't necessarily make great leaders.
Advice to Senior Management
CB does a great job keeping their customers front and center. The same attention does not appear to be present with the internal people. The managers in this company really lack leadership skills and training and as a result can potentially limit the growth of this company.
Pros

- We are given total freedom of our own business besides pricing to an extent
- Our dominate position in the market space is undeniable
- CareerBuilder is not stagnent and delves into uncharted teritories and markets fearlessly

- I am genuinely encouraged to learn more every day to make myself a more valuable asset to myself.
- Going off of the last point, there is and endless supply of learning tools at my fingertips
- The Presidents trip is breathtaking
- I believe that we have one of the most forward thinking CEO's in Matt Ferguson
- Our culture based around work hard play hard
- C-Levels listen to our employess creative ideas to better the company and often times give them a shot
Cons
- As in all sales positions, it is sometimes difficult to convince a manager and even myself that I can take time off even though I have many hours of PTO.
- I would like a bit more freedom with pricing
Advice to Senior Management
Keep moving up and listenig to your employees. Even if some of our diversified efforts fall short, don't ever stop innovating.
Pros

Cons
cliques sometimes exist. tough to break through that
Advice to Senior Management
keep rolling
Pros

Cons
Tough acrivity numbers expected for it's inside sales reps.
Advice to Senior Management
A successful sales rep does not always equal a success manager.
