    Pros

    Pay and benefits are the best in the industry.

    Cons

    They expect you to be available all the time. You won't ever know when or if you work the next day until the evening before , making it impossible to ever make any plans. Also once you get to work, you will have no clue what time they will release you. It might be in 4 hours or 15 hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Organize a schedule. At least a skeleton of one, that may not always be met, but at least try, anyway.

    Pros

    - Great camaraderie among staff

    - Flexible schedules

    - Encourages employees to improve themselves so they can find a job with a company that appreciates them

    - Education in the history of computers - the ones you'll use are dinosaurs!

    Cons

    - Uncaring management

    - Absentee leadership

    - No opportunity for advancement

    - Blatant favoritism for select employees

    - Extremely high turnover

    - No desire to change

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire from within the company for management positions once in awhile. Stop blaming all of your problems on the employees who are attempting to service your customers. Take responsibility for poor decisions. Genuinely appreciate the hard working staff that you have.

    Employee morale is at an all time low. That should be a major concern.

    Pros

    Great co-workers
    Great medical/dental coverage, as well as life insurance and 401k
    Good vacation/sick leave

    Cons

    If you are good at what you do, they'll make you do more and pay you the same.
    Raises every other year if you are lucky but it will not be equal to the rise in living expense
    It seems that every department is pinned against one another, not a "team" environment outside of your own department

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Consider offering your employees incentives for all they do for the company
    Don't talk to your employees like they are stupid or undeserving
    Remember that the majority of your employees have a family and/or life outside of Carey, seriously, remember this...

    Hard to learn when management is extremely rude to you. Anxiety. out of place feeling.

    Pay rate, hours, casual dress

    Cons

    I was happy to start working here but the person training me is extremely rude and hard to communicate with.Afraid to ask questions in fear of being yelled at. They should have a better training session when you are new perhaps with HR on computers before sending you to the floor. Infact I havnt even met an hr representative. After a month I am looking for a new job because I have never been so unhappy.

    A prestigious reputation and excellent service

    CEO runs the organization with a napoleon philosophy and demeanor HR interfaces 1x per year to berate employees on the rising healthcare costs

    I have been working at Carey International full-time

    Pros

    Job Security. Turnover is minimal. Excellent employees who are hard working despite poor wages. Health insurance coverage is good compared to other companies. Excellent product for customers.

    Cons

    Very poor compensation. Raises occur every 3-4 years despite yearly cost of living increase. It is evident employees are not valued assets due to this. Some customers receive higher transportation discounts than employees. Health insurance coverage is high and I would not be surprised if it eliminated coverage altogether in upcoming years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Must dramatically improve working relationships between front line employees and management. Company must show value towards employees by providing livable wages. Departments much work together instead of against each other. This will improve the overall culture.

    co workers are great to work with, travel around the country. Clients are appreciative of hard work and work ethics

    Cons

    There are times where communication is lacking, No pay increases, does not match 401K, insurance benefits - I've seen better. Too much favoritism

    Travel to many different locations. Work independently. Meet many interesting people.

    Not knowing schedule until the day prior. Occasionally driving in in bad weather.

    Lousy benefits, management favoritism, little opportunity for advancement.

    Board of Directors - Don't you think its time to replace the entire executive team. Look where the company has gone under their leadership(?). They have lost support of the rank and file employees long ago.
