Current Employee – been working at Caribou Coffee part-time for more than a year
Pros – I love the people I work with and my store manager at clark and wellington is amazing. 5 stars for her alone! My manager is flexible with my schedule and I feel like the team is supportive of whats going on with me. The store stays pretty clean and the drinks are great. We get a lot of nice regulars that I like talking with.
Cons – Sometimes customers can be grumpy and sometimes tips arent so great but at least we get them. I am not always a fan of having to get up early to open the store at 5 am. Sometimes you can get a huge rush of customers.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep relating one on one with your charges.

Former Employee – worked at Caribou Coffee part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – I enjoyed most of the people I worked with and the customers and regulars were great. Learning how to make drinks and about coffee in general is a lifelong skill I can take with me.
Cons – My manager constantly slept or spent hours on the personal phone calls, then yelled at me. She would bring her offspring in on their off days and they would run rampant and cause massive disruptions. Human resources did no follow up and working conditions were awful.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Caribou Coffee full-time for more than a year
Pros – If you love coffee, this is a great place to work. You can have all the drip brew coffee you want. If you like employees dictating their schedule to you, you will love it.
Cons – I did not like the upper management because they are sneaky and they lie. They do not back up their managers, they would rather back up their team members than believe their managers because its easier.
Advice to Senior Management – Back up your management staff. Team members should not be running the show.

Current Employee – been working at Caribou Coffee full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – There is always opportunity for advancement and the company prefers to promote from within where possible.
The company actually cares about the people who work for them. They take care of their employees.
Cons – Sometimes plans aren't always thought through on the corporate end, so the stores end up taking the brunt of it, but that's pretty much it.
Other cons are ones that come with every customer service job.
Advice to Senior Management – When planning to launch something at the store level, please reach out to the stores for feedback on ideas before launching them company wide.

Pros – decent pay, flexible hours, you get to meet a variety of people, learn how to make delicious drinks, free coffee, good discount, and the benefits are actually pretty good!
Cons – There was never enough workers to cover shifts, and if you were sick...to bad, you get to work anyways! Also dealing with the snobby highschool kids!
