    Pros

Management is always pushing for positive change. The patient is number one and the staff is taught to think of them as their customer, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.

    Cons

There is a lot of change, as would be expected with a progressive healthcare company. It can be difficult to keep everyone on the same page with the high level of change

    Advice to Management

Communicate in excess. Make sure that the staff understand the what and most importantly, the why. Remember that the employee is the most important member of the team.

I have been working at Caris Life Sciences full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Everyone is very friendly & helpful, the team I work with has helped me grow professionally, good pay & benefits, overall the company is flexible for those who have earned it (in terms of work/life balance).

    Cons

The CEO is definitely out of touch with who his employees are, and they don't know him either.

    Advice to Management

Be more visible so your employees care who they are working for!

    Pros

The pros are definitely that the non-management staff that work for Caris are generally good people.

    Cons

They have no loyalty to their employees, they will stab you in the back as soon as possible. It doesn't matter how much work you put in, how much free overtime you give them, or how well-liked you are among the staff, you must always watch your back because keeping good employees is not part of the big picture

    Advice to Management

The management it's to be stripped, a new set of management needs to be brought in. There's a reason why the ship is sinking. And no one is doing anything to fix the boat

  7. Good employees not so good management

    Pros

Medical benefits were good and the culture is business casual but laid back. Teams are small and you have a chance to work on multiple projects.

    Cons

Management isn't clear or seem experienced in really leading. Although benefits are good the company is hurting for money which affects everything else.

I worked at Caris Life Sciences full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the reasons I have enjoyed working at Caris, is that they value their employees, the pay very well and encourage healthy lifestyle, i.e. incentive programs for active life in form of discounts on monthly medical ins. premiums. They have good benefits.

    Cons

They are too strict on how you take time off, i.e. they won't let an employee take time off with out pay unless its a family emergency.

    Advice to Management

I think it would be ok to let the employee decide how much unpaid time off they can take (within reason).

I worked at Caris Life Sciences full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It provided me the ability to gain knowledge in different fields of the business. The company carry's a comparable compensation and benefits package. It also provides a wellness program for health benefits. It was also a very flexible company regarding time management.

    Cons

Information not properly disseminated to all employees when regarding major changes.

    Pros

People are great to work with. Owner is good to the company. Owner is successful and very experienced.

    Cons

Have not paid decent bonuses in awhile. It pays to be the owners pet. Spendthrifts

    Advice to Management

Start letting your smart employees make more decisions. Don't live in a CYA world

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

People are friendly, that's about it.

    Cons

Some of the senior management is disconnected from reality. This company is a good prototype for "The Office Space" movie.

    Advice to Management

Worry less about office sizes and iPads and more about fixing the very real core problems.
