I have been working at Carl's Jr full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The managers and district managers really care about employees. Very team oriented.

    Cons

It does not matter how many good things you do, one bad thing and that's all they remember. Not strict on employees (with their behavior, following company rules, etc.)

    Advice to Management

Follow up with employees. You should not be keeping employees that are harmful to your business.

    I worked at Carl's Jr full-time

    Pros

Had good hours, the people were kind of helpful. A half an hour lunch was pretty good.

    Cons

The way that they just put me at a station an said this is your job, go.

    I worked at Carl's Jr part-time

    Cons

Can't really move up in the restaurant.

  8. Good first job in customer service

I have been working at Carl's Jr part-time

    Pros

Good place to learn what a fast-paced workplace is like. Learning to work with customers was a plus.

    Cons

Management wasn't that great. Many employees were unprofessional. People were not always there to work. Training wasn't great.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to screen the shift leaders so that you know for sure what they are doing when managers aren't there. Also, come up with a better training process that teaches new hires how to do their job.

    Pros

Coworkers are great Works well with your schedule Easy lunch access Ability to move up Managers are super nice and helpful

    Cons

Like all other fast food, you can get pretty smelly and greasy feeling The food is easy access=easy way of getting fat Need to get a 95% or higher on a secret shopper or get chewed out (atleast where I worked) The head manager was pretty mean and never smiled, couldn't even say hi to him Pay sucks! Raise only if you move up in position Keeping drive time low

    Advice to Management

Be nicer to your workers. We are hard workers and we try really hard to get perfect scores on your secret shoppers, give a smile once in a while.

    Pros

Working at Carl's Jr. allows you to have a flexible schedule which is great if you are going to school.

    Cons

You have to be prepared to stand on your feet for very long periods of time. The pay isn't great.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to rotate the employees on the different restaurant positions. For example it shouldn't be the job of one person to only work the drive thru.
