I have been working at Carl's Jr full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at Carl's Jr. as my first job was great. I started off as a cook, then learning Drive Thru and the Cash Register, I got offered the chance to move up to a Crew Trainer, and thought, hey if I can move up to this, I'm good enough to move up even more. I got promoted to Shift Manager 2 months later.

    Cons

Having to worry about high labor, as well as having to deal with being shorthanded.

    Advice to Management

Try to understand where Shift Managers come from when they say they are trying, having to keep Low Speed of Service, Low Waste, Low Labor, and maintain Great Customer Service is all hard to do at the same time and we try our best.

I worked at Carl's Jr part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get 50% off when you work otherwise it's only 20% The cashiers are kinda friendly but the cooks and management are rude

    Cons

You never get a raise- I worked there for 4 years and never got one Management and corporate treat you like crap You never get a break- even though you're required by law to get a 30 minute break Very short staffed because corporate wants to save labor- so you get worked to death Huge turn over rate because everyone who works there hates it and quits

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like crap

I worked at Carl's Jr part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This was my first job after graduating from high school and it was an okay job. I really enjoyed working with the rest of the employees, some were very helpful. I was able to get decent hours when business was good, ranging from 30-38 hours.

    Cons

I felt as though the store was a little bit unorganized, but maybe that's how most fast food places work. One of my managers were not very helpful and hostile towards me from the very beginning. Management had favorites, which was understandable for the most part. I also really really dislike handling the drive thru and the front line. Sometimes both ends would get busy and I'm the only person for both stations. It was stressful enough to keep my drive-thru line within the time limit but when I started tending customers in the front line, it got even more chaotic. If you're new, it's very rare that you'll get major Holidays off because your pay is much cheaper than someone who's been there for a couple of years.

    Advice to Management

Be more involved with your stores. I never saw a person from corporate visit us in all the 7 months that I worked for Carl's Jr.
