Pros – Great products involving cutting edge technology. Self directed work environment with excellent access to resources. Opportunity to work on a variety of project. Great opportunities for travel. Management is treats employees fairly.
Cons – Limiated support given to implimenting new ideas (Agile methodology for example). Senior management is not effective at communicating vision for company and making sure everyone is on board. while the company has many strong employees, there are a number that are non contributors and that brings the whole organization down.
Advice to Senior Management – Clearly communicate the direction and vision for the company. Provide semi-anual reviews to all employees - raises and bonuses should be tied to performance. Employees should have clear objectives. Effectively control and marshall the financail resources of the company to improve the organization.

Pros – Management very accessible
Developers have a lot of control over their aspect of the product
No one really breathing down your neck, as long as you get them the product
Developers have some direct conversation with clients
Cons – Not at all a social work atmosphere, everyone is in their cubicle, working on individual projects, very quiet.
Pretty much no collaboration
Not enough employees so just have time to do the most necessary things but not to innovate and progress too much
Not enough feedback
Advice to Senior Management – Have more cohesion among the employees, a unified vision, more interaction, etc.
Offer interns more guidance and projects that they can learn and benefit from more
