Current Employee – been working at Carmeuse North America full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – The company shows steady growth for the foreseeable future, and aging upper management almost certainly guarantees opportunities for advancement.
Cons – The company is managed by "friends" of the CEO (Tom Buck), and if you are on the good side of Tom or any of his "friends" you are sure to advance in the organization. Especially if you have the knack of playing politics. If, however, you are a bad political player and go against the grain... stay away from this company. The company operates on rumors: managers wanting to please Tom Buck (CEO) feed him gossip, Tom in turn uses that information (whether true or untrue) to make his decisions all the way down to the Plant Supervisor levels!
Advice to Senior Management – Retire or die... make room for managers that will not micro manage from the CEO level, and stop the jam-up at the CEO's butt.
