    Pros

Strong brand with good benefits (including cruise). Treats employees fairly well with many sponsored company events throughout the year and onsite day care and clinic. the large size of the company offers many opportunities to develop valuable skills in different areas of the business.

    Cons

A good company to come into from the outside, but moving internally is much more difficult. Internal mobility will require many years of commitment and pay increases will be minimal. Annual raises are very small as well. Some areas are rife with politics and have high attrition. Good work culture is a blessing and a curse as it's very easy to become too comfortable and stop growing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer better career paths for loyal employees. A lot of knowledge is lost, or goes to the competition when they leave.

  3. Enjoyed working there. Made many good friends. Your enjoyment depends on the department and your supervisor.

    Pros

Great benefits including cruises. If you luck out on bosses you've got it made.

    Cons

Hard to get on ships if you're new. Different departments give raises, bonuses differently.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep stressing open door policy.

I have been working at Carnival Corporation full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The company offers stability and a great work life balance. Very flexible and will allow you to come in on the weekends to make up time. Most managers are good and steady raises every year.

    Cons

No room to grow at this company. Once you are in a position, there you shall stay unless you move to another department. Too much work is given to each employee to complete.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people and create room for advancement.

    Pros

There are many great reasons to work at Carnival from the benefits, financial and others, earnings, people from the front line to upper management.

    Cons

My only cons are those of any job. There isn't anything that really stands out.

I worked at Carnival Corporation full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Room for improvement to move to other departments that can lead to better pay. Opportunity to put requests for free cruises just pay taxes and tips.

    Cons

Schedule is changes. There's bidding for schedule times and people that have seniority get the best times just like trying to get free cruises. You've to sell. You are on a point scale and if you don't meet your requirements will hear from a supervisor..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quality control supervisors need to be more professional as far as focus on your employees' jobs, not to have your group as a social little group, and if you the supervisor don't like someone in your assigned group don't make his/her life a living hell.
