Current Employee – been working at Cary Medical Center

Pros – Good benefits when working in a full time position. Employees are great people but management not so much.

Cons – Management is incompetent and treats employees unfairly. They play favorites and communication in the workplace is very poor.

Advice to Senior Management – Get your act together and actually learn how to manage people. Stop playing favorites and learn to communicate better with your employees. This would go a long way towards improving employee morale.

Pros – I did end up having a decent schedule where I didn't have to work shifts.

Cons – Very cliquish - at times I felt like I was back in high school! Lack of common courtesy - people will walk right by you in the hallway and totally ignore you. Very negative - people generally act like they are totally miserable. Very unprofessional - people in so-called management positions who don't have the first clue on how to manage people, and dress like slobs to boot! Your hard work and accomplishments are not recognized unless you are among "the chosen few". The CEO's face is plastered on everything that has to do with Cary Medical Center like the hospital is all about her instead of about the patients and the hard-working employees!

Advice to Senior Management – Appreciate and value your employees and maybe you wouldn't have such a problem with retention. Do some hospital beautification so that the employees and patients don't feel like they are coming to a dark dungeon - extremely depressing environment!
