Pros
Some of the best reasons for working at Case New Holland are stability, location, hours, and seeing tractors being shipped out.
Cons
Some of the downsides of working at Case New Holland are poor management, poor ownership by Fiat, and no raises in the last four years.
Advice to Senior Management
Case New Holland has been making record profits for the last four years, but it is not sharing the wealth with thier employees.
Pros
At the beginning of my job was great. The projects were interesting and I made friends.
Cons
The tides changed. Our VP was released from the company. It atmosphere was overtaken by fear and retrobution.
Advice to Senior Management
As a shift in personnel changed, contigency plans should have been made for employees. Human Resources was a useless department.
Pros
The benefits package is very competitive
The people are great to work with
The products are very successful in the market
Cons
It is an AG/Construction company that is being run like an auto company
Unrealistic expectations with no support
Limited opportunity for advancement
Initial compensation is competitive, however, limited raise opportunities
Advice to Senior Management
Focus more on honing management skills and coaching rather than continued focus on tasks as managers. Listen to what the employees are saying.
Pros
good pay, decent benefits. Union based so there is representation to back the employees. nice work week hours 4/10. overtime.
Cons
Management is male minded and they think they can do no wrong. Advancement is minimal. Dark and dank work environment.
Advice to Senior Management
Advancement from within so that management knows what/who they are trying to lead. Just because a person is a man, that person isn't always the best person.
Pros
A lot of independence is granted as far as projects are concerned. My mentors have been great to me, giving me great input and being very clear on what is expected of me. Very helpful in all paperwork issues that I have had.
Cons
Didn't have a timely 1-1 and job assessment from the hiring manager. Not a lot of excitement as one would imagine, but good and stable environment.
Pros
World Class Manufacturing initiative has been a ton of work lately. Resources don't seem to be allotted towards managing this project while also getting your normal course of work completed. Overall HR group seems a bit fragmented from a plant perspective--there is room for improvement with optimization of communication.
Cons
Projects are not always funded appropriately. Fiat seems to focus more on integrating Chrysler into their business model rather than developing and nurturing the Case New Holland brand.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to focus on streamlining and leaning out the HR function. Better planning of forecast to ensure new hires are trained appropriately before beginning work.
Pros
Best pay and benifits in the Fargo area for this type of work.
Cons
Pay is low compared to national for this industry. Management at all levels is bad to put it mildly. Management has no clue on most what is going on. Employees are treated poorly with no respect. The plant isatleast 30 years behind in technology. Inventory control is a joke. Its amazing tractors are able to be made at all.
Advice to Senior Management
replace management plant manager down.
