I have been working at CaseWare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Laid back, but technically challenging. The desktop software is very complex, so it takes a long time to learn it. Fortunately, there are a lot of technically competent people who have been there for many years, and they are good to work with. The company has been profitable and secure for many years, and they are in a growth mode. While maintaining legacy software, they also invest effort in newer technologies, such as the cloud. Management is quite good, and deadlines are well planned.

    Cons

The pay is on the low side. If you plan on cruising up the corporate ladder quickly, then this might not be the best fit. The large number of staff that have been there a long time are competent and represent a great benefit to the company and to the staff, but that makes for a lot of people in line for promotions. Fortunately, I like the job I have currently.

    Advice to Management

    Pay your developers more.
