Unnecessarily Stressful

Little to no supervision
Decent Starting Wage

ConsHad to Buy most of the uniform
Horrible Scheduling Manager
The only way you could work is if you worked an 8 hour shift (I was in HS at the time, so this sucked)

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide Uniforms, or up the pay, or both

So far it's been great, my job is liking trucking and Nascar wrapped into one job...can't get any better!!!!!

ProsBenefits are great...pay is excellent for limited education...some of the coworkers are great to work with...it's like a family up in here.

ConsJust some of the coworkers don't pull their weight...could get more accomplished if everyone worked their fair share.

Advice to Senior ManagementReward those that work their ass off and don't treat those that are lazy differently because they are your friends.

ProsWorking with customers and employees is fun and fulfilling. Hourly employees are encouraged to work full-time with exceptional benefits. All that's required is to prove you are a hard worker.

ConsAs a store manager, I rarely found backing from my Supervisor. When she visited my store, she praised the cashiers and kitchen workers, but behind closed doors, was unsupportive and critical.

Advice to Senior ManagementSupervisors and District Managers have difficult and heavy workloads, but they lack customer service skills toward their store managers and hourly staff who have their own heavy loads to carry, and deserve support and appreciation.

ProsGot to work with the customers. They became family because you seen them everyday. I got to know many of them on a personal level.

ConsNot having enough time to get everything finish. Dealing with unruly customers was difficult at times. Store not being cleaned to its fullest potential. Customer service is lacking on some shifts.

Small Town problems, corporate politics

Store Manager (Former Employee)

I worked at Casey's General Stores full-time for less than a year

ProsOpportunity for advancement, if you are willing to sacrifice. Plenty of training available. My immediate supervisor was a really good boss. Just had too much on his plate

ConsIt seems like they sit in the corporate offices writing policies and procedures without considering the "real people" who are out there making the company successful.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't forget the people at the bottom....for they are the ones who got you to the top!

Prossmall town friendly, most employee's from surrounding towns

Conshigher ups do not listen to lower employees when there is a problem
