    Pros

Cash Store Financial was a customer-oriented company; that offers a one-on-one customer's service building a good friendly relationship between the company and that of the client. The high-ranking officers, supervisors and managers were helpful, nice and adhere towards the company's vision and mission statements, its culture and values.

    Cons

Cash Store Financial was sold to National Money Mart; but I stayed until the last days of its closure.

    Advice to Management

I really hope that it had stayed longer because I really like the Company and the workforce, even the high-ranking officers were cool, nice and pleasant to subordinates.

    Pros

Team at the branch I worked at was great - very friendly, close-knit. Flexible hours - great for students. Fun company events, such as holiday parties. Decent pay for an entry-level job.

    Cons

Too many fees for the customer, hard as a front line employee to explain/justify to the customers. Loaned against well fare income, sketchy customers. Check cashing services required faxing a copy of the check to be validated - often would take a very long time and is very inefficient.

    Advice to Management

Employ great branch managers - makes all the difference. Simplify fees, make it easy for front line employees to explain the costs of loans to the customers - especially in comparison to main competitors.

I worked at Cash Store Financial part-time

    Pros

Great for students wanting to work around their study schedules Pay was decent

    Cons

Poor management for department Gossiping Favouritism Weekend shifts start very early in the am

    Advice to Management

Professionalism of supervisor and office manager was very poor. Need to ensure appropriate people are hired. This may have changed by now because I'm referring to my experience a few years ago.

I worked at Cash Store Financial part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Bright, clean office Intimate work setting - great coworkers The branch that I worked at was always very accomodating when it came to time-off and other requests. The mock database was helpful when training.

    Cons

Some, if not most, clientele Tedious paperwork Low Pay I found the training at the Cash Store to be very lack-luster. I was given a binder of what seemed to be outdated information, to essentially study.

    Advice to Management

Try and think of more ways to make the company enjoyable, despite the pay and nature of the job.
