    I worked at CashEdge

    Pros

CashEdge has a near monopoly on internet banking applications for account opening, funding, and funds transfer.
CashEdge's business model is conducive to revenue growth, as fees are charged for each transaction, and transaction volume of internet banking is increasing.

    Cons

Empire building by some of the departments creates tension within cross-functional teams. Management's agenda is often hidden, or at best, poorly communicated. Ranking of individual contributors is forced into a 10-20-40-20-10 distribution, which is then used to discredit individuals and lower bonuses. Some employees have not seen a raise in 5 years. There are no cost-of-living adjustments or yearly pay increases.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize that there are morale problems, and openly address them with the employees. Conduct 360 degree reviews to provide feedback from the bottom up as well as top down. Institute yearly cost-of-living adjustments. Improve the ranking process to remove bias and favoritism. Improve top down communications.

I have been working at CashEdge

    Pros

nice tv (only news channels), colleagues and banking products

    Cons

We can say so many bad things about the management in chennai. HR simply rocks cashedge india. Employees will be asked to follow up her own rules even in TV channels. There is no job guarantee. Firing will happen at any time. New Joiness will be asked to resign if there is a pressure from client side(about product security). HR will not available in office unless or until a client visit. It is advisable not to join cashedge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should care about the employee. Chennai management is not at all up to the mark.

    Pros

Good place to work who want to learn technology

    Cons

During the acquisition higher management didn't spoke to employees about their future roles and benefits, they always talking about particular location location employees only.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You may see lot of important resource will start leave after 2-3 months. I will bet this will happen sooner then expected if the same HR management exists in Chennai

    I worked at CashEdge

    Pros

Fast moving, forward looking. Products are used very widely in the industry. Use a lot of new technology and new software dev techniques, and is constantly evolving. Interesting that most of the reviews here are negative, given the overall attitude i saw at the company that is surprising but disgruntled employees are the most likely to report a review. Happy people less likely, so for a small company it is hard to not see disproportionate numbers of reviews that are negative. I was happy there and taking the time to let others know about it. Provide some balance.

    Cons

Most of the upsides can be seen as downsides for some people. It is fast moving, and forward looking and they are constantly evolving. If you are looking for a 9-5 steady banking job that is very predictable, then this is not the place to be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep evolving and moving fast, ignore the vocal minority who can't handle change

Improve the company all hands meetings.

    Good product, poor leadership

    Pros

Solid core product, established relationship with clients.
Good exposure to payments industry, if that is what you are interested in.

    Cons

Poor communication between teams. Decisions are often made by senior management without informing project stakeholders.
Constant change in direction and the need for management to get involved in small details, coupled with unrealistic expectations, results in a lot of rework and slippage in deadlines. Poor work life balance.
If things go wrong, blame is assigned quickly and people are held accountable for decisions made by higher management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to what employees have to say and figure out how to best utilize their skills. Set clear expectations of what you want to do and how you plan to do it, and stick to it. Learn to manage scope creep. Understand why things went wrong in the past and fix it, instead of repeating the same mistakes.

    Pros

good product knowledge, you can gain good product knowledge here

    Cons

Cashedge is Filled with burocrat leads, no voice exists for bottom level employees, deviation report to top level management from leads always be continued. you have to work round lock, at the end of day leads who are close to leads will get that credit. As a fresher u can't get support from seniors, you have to do reasearch and gain knowledge, peolple will be fired suddenly without reason. no process at all. But you can gain success here by acting close to leads and managers , not by working hard and smart. As aresult, last one year company lost almost all key resources.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire leads who are partial to themselves or close ones. Bring some good resources in managment section and follow process.

Happy place for people who are not interested in learning new technologies

I have been working at CashEdge

    Pros

If a person is not interested to learn new technologies and is just happy doing the regular work then cashedge is the best place to be

    Cons

step 1. I come to office
    2., code,
    3. go home
    4. go to step 1

There is 0 learning. We don't get proper support for development, there are no processes involved, when the whole world is going Agile, CE is sitting with a strange model that is totally in-efficient, any suggestions to the lead is straight away rejected and the manager will not give you his ears to listen to the normal software engineer, manager likes only the lead, are we in-efficient in anyway? I don't know... my friends in QA have this same complaint as well, for some reason managers are in love with the leads...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is something called people development please focus on that also along with selling the product.
