    Pros

Emphasis on Safety, Employee friendly policies such as work from home, Travel in chauffeur driven cars, Superb Lunch and snacks facility, BP's robust corporate culture and exposure of working in a global MNC of mammoth scale. Fair compensation for the amount of work one does. Very good company if you are an old chap and can astutely delegate all the work to your reports while you are smartly managing and networking with the influential leadership position holders(read: Office Politics). Gives great work-life balance if you chose to stay for more than 5-7 years.

    Cons

A plenty. This organization is struggling to manage the existence of customer centricity in its DNA. As a result, processes and SLAs laid out by the supporting functions are so stronger that it often neglects the true market realities of what customer service really means. In operational terms, the sales and marketing folks are under pressure 24X7 while the functions are not being held accountable for any drop in sales. Because of this the attrition is really high in sales and its almost zero for rest of the organization. Random experiments done by HR including but not limited to hiring premium B School grads and assigning them random assignment by mis-selling the job to them and then pulling out their hands out of it to take any responsibility later on. Because of this, many people have screwed up their career after joining here. Go check yourself on professional networks, ask your friends working here and evaluate it yourself before joining.

    Advice to Management

Its high time to start paying attention to this high attrition & voice of the organization and do something about it rather than just focusing on that next big international assignment and how to grab it ASAP.

    Pros

Amazing work culture, you'll work with highly motivated people having a real zeal for success, offers best work life balance, all work is done in day time & in fact you are discouraged to work in late evenings. In Castrol, You'll learn that safely is the biggest priority in anything you do & it is extensively undertaken by senior management. Company offers best in class compensation, variable pay & health insurance.

    Cons

Promotions are not fair, the assessment center is completely biased

    Advice to Management

Should promote the people who actually do the work rather than hiring fresh graduates from ivy B schools at senior levels.
