The compassion for patients is probably coming from faith-based nature of the institutions under the CHCS umbrella which include nursing homes and hospitals. There is a team approach among the professionals which
definitely benefits the patients, and there are a number of long-term employees.

The unprofessional nature of priest/nun employees results in a "What Would Jesus Do?" mind-set; for example, there is no such thing as depression, only people who don't pray enough. Upper management never seems to ask what employees think. Pay is below average.

    distant upper management
    very poor communications
