    Pros

A really great company with an amazing culture, and what will hopefully be an amazing future.

    Cons

None that I've found so far. I think the company has really great potential, and I can't really think of any cons.

I worked at Cavium Networks full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Good learning curve
    - Good salary
    - Above all, generally managers will have only brains. Here you will find managers with hearts too.
      - Very cooperative, very understanding and very much concerned about the employees.
I worked here in Hyderabad office for three years and resigned due to commutation issues and not because of either compensation or working culture.

    Cons

The office is in the centre of the city (Somajiguda) and not in Hitech City/Gachibowli. Ofcourse it may not be a concern for lot of guys.

    Excellent company to work at

I have been working at Cavium Networks full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - If you are passionate about working with hardware and software, you will love it here
    - Pay in the Indian offices have recently been restructured, and it is pretty good now
    - Flexible timings, no dress code, no formality, very little pressure
    - Managers are very friendly and casual
    - Great growth opportunity : I started off as a campus recruit, now I have worked on so many technologies that I started losing count.
    - Travel opportunity to the US office, if you are lucky
    - You are not treated like a part-time laborer unlike many software companies. You work on actual big projects -- where you get to understand what it is all about, and what role you play in it and even make an influence on its design. This is much more satisfying than doing a part of a job in a project whose purpose you don't even understand.
    - Work from home facility, comp-off, and a good enough time-off.
    - Cavium day celebrations are good and fun.
    - Lot of new products coming up -- which leads to more opportunity to work on more stuff.
    - Switch from MIPS to ARM is also good. Most of the industry is now running on ARM.

The CTC that Cavium shows in the campus recruitment is the true annual salary (unlike many other BIG multi-national companies which include factors like one-time joining bonus, relocation bonus etc. to trick their campus recruits into thinking their pay is high). Cavium has extra components like relocation bonus which they do not include in the CTC. If you are in college, always confirm with former hires what exactly is in the CTC before sitting for the company's placement.

    Cons

    - Lack of hardware. Sometimes you have to go around the office asking for hardware -- it can be a bit intimidating at first, but then you will get used to it. And its okay, managers understand this.
    - No gym (but you can get 9000 rupees annually if you go to an outside gym), No sick room
    - Recently, Internet speeds are occasionally really bad.
    - ACs frequently break down during summer. Not sure if its the quality of the ACs or the Hyderabad summer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Invest on internet and hardware

    Cons

    opportunities for rapid career growth reducing, location of headquarters, semiconductor industry is consolidating going forward with next generation process nodes becoming very expensive;

I have been working at Cavium Networks full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - Great minds at work and good work culture
    - Good hands-on experience in newer technologies
    - You will get recognition from VP or CEO if you do the work right. So you know how much the senior management look after the engineering.
    - Your career growth will definitely skyrocket

    Cons

    - HR and Admin people. They just don't want to work or rather don't know how to do work. Finance team is little better (I want to get my salary :)).
    - Sometimes Engineering guys do work of a HR, Admin and Finance instead. I don't like this.
