    Pros

Cedarville is a great place to work filled with genuinely caring people. It also hires a lot of students so they support their alumni.

    Cons

It can take a long time to move up in your position at Cedarville as many people in management have been around for a very long time.

    Pros

When things are slow there is a lot of free time. Meals were provided. Great bond between members if it is a good group.

    Cons

During the busy times it is constant go. There is not much sleep or time to do other things.

I have been working at Cedarville University full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

There is a generally positive environment here, with plenty of opportunity to make great friends. The town is peaceful and quaint.

    Cons

The views and philosophy of this school can often be viewed as narrow-minded and controversial. It can be a very hard and discouraging place to be if you have different beliefs. Strongly recommend carefully reviewing the school's documents before accepting a position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate more with lower level employees

I have been working at Cedarville University

    Pros

Excellent working environment. The administration works very hard to support faculty and staff. Salary is very competitive with other Christian universities.

    Cons

The Statement of Faith may not be to everyone's liking and the university is very serious about it. If prospective employees cannot agree to it, then employment will not be offered. I employees can agree to it, then they will find the working environment here to be very rewarding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None presently.

I have been working at Cedarville University part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunities in food service and catering services for students.
    Generally very flexible hours.
Management of food service was driven and had a heart for the employees.
Recent changes in food service management saw vast improvements in quality as a whole.

    Cons

    Compensation is low.
While there is some student management positions it is not easy to advance.
To my knowledge, there are no raises available to students.
Not a lot of options for students besides food service.
