Excellent

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Cedarville, OH

I worked at Cedarville University part-time for more than a year

ProsGood company
Good job for students
Get to usually interact with others more than other jobs
Works around school schedules and other jobs
Good experience
Can deposit directly into student account to pay off schooling

ConsMinimum wage
Not many hours
No room for advancement
Only 2 main areas of work - Cafeteria and Snack Shop, unless you know someone
In order to get jobs other than the food industry, have to apply as a sophomore or freshman for the coming school year. Won't accept Juniors or Seniors for jobs.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive more jobs to students that really need them, like off campus students or part-time students

A good place to work, but watch out for the far right.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Cedarville University full-time for more than 8 years

ProsChrist-centered environment. Kind people. Wonderful students.

ConsThe far right fundies are always threatening to take over the school.
Pharmacy has been a financial failure that is dragging the school down the drain, and the school won't admit it.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't let the frightened right wingers drag you back to a past that didn't exist anyway. They need to learn that lies and fear-mongering are not Christ-like strategies.

Dump Pharmacy and cut your losses.

Cedarville University, certainly one of the best experiences, but perhaps not the best of the best.

GREAT

Student (Current Employee)

I have been working at Cedarville University

ProsThis is a great place to be if you love Jesus.
They will treat you with the most respect anyone ever has.

ConsThere is not too much room to develop a career here.
The job you come in with will likely be the job you leave with.

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer some ways that people can move up. There are little job opportunities out there and you are hiring a lot of people.
