    Pros

The people are fantastic, there is a lot of longevity within the staff even though turnover is very high in entry level positions.

    Cons

401k matching is low. Maximum match is 1.5%. Salaries are low in market and within the Midwest. Raises are also low, top raises have not exceeded inflation rates in several years.

    Advice to Management

    Raise wages/salaries.

    Pros

Place is not like any other place I've worked at. I work in the Customer service dept as a Study Participant Rep. The managers are very good at there job and take it seriously. The job is not stressful and for the pay is well worth the work load. There are those days when the job get hard, but other than that good work environment.

    Cons

Resources are nothing compared to my previous jobs, cubicles are too small and chairs need to be replaced. Computer software is out of date, but everything is there to get the job done.

    Pros

Experience. Company knows how to do procedures correctly and follow FDA, GCP, SOP's.

    Cons

Office drama. Though true everywhere, it seemed more so with this company. Some allegiances are questioned, especially participants word over employee.

    Advice to Management

More hands on. Clinic management is hardly seen. Attention to employee needs, especially in regards to families and time-off.

  8. Good company for full/part time position.

    Pros

Coworkers are welcoming. Company does special events for employees.

    Cons

If you are a variable employee. You do not get benefits. Hours can be reduced.

    Advice to Management

I think overall its a very good company. Just offer more full/part time positions instead of "variable" positions.

    Pros

You learn a lot but limited to the early phase clinical research and harder to expand into the job market from there.
Good people, hard working, fast paced.

    Cons

Work-life balance is discussed but not really well supported. Limited opportunities for advancement once you are in middle management. VERY sub-par benefits and pay compared to other CROs. Bonuses are only at director level or above so it is a hard sell to meet all your targets if you don't share in the profit.

    Advice to Management

Bring up salaries in line with market. Train your people (a budget for training would be a good start) and send them to industry meetings, have career plans for them.

    Pros

Job security. As log as you show up (most of the time), you've got a job. HR is really afraid of legal action, so you're safe once you've made it past the probationary period.

    Cons

Management does not manage. Different standards for different people. Handful of entry level employees are responsible for majority of work, and are not rewarded for those efforts.

    Advice to Management

Upper management ought to take a ground level approach to management, to individual site management, entry management, and entry admin staff.

    Pros

add experience (clinical if needed) to your resume

    Cons

    low pay
    difficulty to advance
not a place to go if you think outside the box and want to grow career wise. DEAD END JOB.
    lacks luster or motivational tools
feeling like your in a prison along with study participants

    Advice to Management

There is nothing management can do when you are getting paid almost minimum wage ($11.50/hr) but have a lot of expectation and responsibility placed on you. Job requires no college degree, your basically just a factory worker, a factory aimed at human testing for early stage pharmaceuticals. Everyone that works there hates it, I feel bad for them, they have no other options.
