Collaborative and dynamic employees and management
Huge opportunities to make a meaningful difference

CEO really cares about the company and the employees- doing the best job possible given market conditions
Company is heading toward long term future growth and it is an exciting place to be

Approvals for expenses can take awhile
Systems need more intergration - single sign on - too many passwords to remember

As we continue to reposition, new capabilities will be required that are not as clearly measured- will require more flexibility in how we support those who are part of the longer term gameplan

- Very nice people, some interesting work, a lot of training available, reasonable hours

- Difficult to move up in the company, sometimes work can be redundant

- Some really good talent and skills that go unnoticed while promoting other useless individuals
- Transferring of products and work overseas leaving Toronto almost dead
- Never back-filling positions after promotions, leaving many people covering mulltiple roles for indefinite periods.
- Low Morale as constant threat of restructuring.
- No loyalty to staff or job security ..... its only a matter of tie before you get the TAP!

Short term thinking, indecision, constantly changing plans.
Attrition of experienced people (voluntary and involuntary)

The Americanization of the company culture (too many people who thrive on flash but no substance)
Erosion of teamwork over the years (now it's about CYA and pointing fingers)
Too much movement of responsibilities to unskilled low-cost geographies
Bad IT infrastructure (very fragmented)

Value the people more. HR has become a joke - not valued at table.
Commit to investments to address systemic problems (employee development, system, infrastructure, etc.)
Cut ties with customers who don't contribute to profit
