I have been working at Cellular Sales full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

CellularSales is a great company to work for. Everyone is friendly and there is a great sense of community among my peers and supervisors. They are great at working on your work schedule with you and there is a lot of flexibility when it comes to switching/dropping/picking up shifts or taking personal time off. There are usually extra hours you can pick up, as well as a new incentive program for the top call takers. They also like to hire from within, making this a great place to grow. There are benefit options for those working full time.

    Cons

The base pay is $11 an hour, which is less than some call centers. However, the schedule flexibility as well as the incentive program helps make up for this.

    Advice to Management

We should have a few more events like the potluck and icecream social. Perhaps on projected slow days there could be scheduled little group meetings to get us excited/feeling pride for our company. Also, I think you should make sure to encourage us not just for taking the most calls but for the quality and empathy we put into the calls. This is just as, if not more, important to providing the best customer service. Everyone likes to be recognized for their unique talents and nurturing these will only make us stronger overall.

    Pros

Can make a lot of money here. Flexible schedule. Usually a pretty fun atmosphere and leadership is positive.

    Cons

Difficult to establish yourself for the first few months. If you aren't self motivated you will fizzle out quickly.

    Advice to Management

Make sure the hard working employees know they are appreciated and establish a few more positions that your high achievers can take on more leadership.

I worked at Cellular Sales full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

IT was very flexible you could work as much or as little as you want.

    Cons

IT is retail so its retail hours. The Pay is strictly Commission so you better pick good stores and work a ton of hours to make real money. An you travel a lot from store to store.

I worked at Cellular Sales full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great training provided at starting to get you up and running in a month. No sales experience required. Little overhead from managers so you can conceivably run your operation the way you want to. Excellent commission rates and spiffs. Set your own roster. Uncapped earning.

    Cons

Chargebacks will eat you alive if you aren't careful, same as any other sales position. Open ended management means the snakes will always finish ahead of you. Those same snakes will often secure mentorship and management positions. Little to no direct contact with upper management. Stores are spread very far apart, and gas is not paid for. Had to travel 50 miles every week to a certain store. Benefits aught to not even exist with how pathetic they are.

    Advice to Management

Organize teams better to reduce commuting for reps. Take a good look at all mentorship promotions. Work on the chargebacks, for Christ's sake.

    Pros

They are the highest paid commission reps in the industry.

    Cons

Everyone pays the price. Its dog-eat-dog with a bunch of sugar coating.

    Advice to Management

    Embrace the Shake

I have been working at Cellular Sales (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible with hours, opportunities for outside sales and uncapped commission structure. Helpful environment with local management team. Works at more than one location.

    Cons

If you don't like to travel around your area, don't apply as you do work at more than one location. Harsh chargeback structure. Changing away from the customer focused approach is currently affecting sales.

    Advice to Management

Don't change to charging fees for transactions that wouldn't have such elsewhere. Adjust chargeback structure. Do more local advertising to help compete in this current changing market.

    Pros

No cap on commisions, good benefits, management doesn't micro manage you, easy to switch schedule and take a day off

    Cons

100% commision so taxes are higher than normal, not a lot of room for advancement

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work

I have been working at Cellular Sales full-time

    Pros

I really enjoy the business culture, team culture, and product culture. As jobs go this one is top shelf quality.

    Cons

Our market needs a bit more oversight of sales reps. With no local management (everyone on sales floor is an authorized dealer) it's too easy for reps to be lazy. Team leads should be given a bit more management authority with their responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

I recommend a closer watch at the store level. I aso recommend personal development training to accompany the product & systems training. Offer personal growth opportunities alongside the required other training modules.
