    Pros

Homecare is an invaluable service, especialy for the elderly.

    Cons

After working for a few years at Celtic without any raise, I asked for a modest increase. I was told, "the company is not able to offer raises". (In other words, the company has made a business decision that anyone demanding fair pay will simply be replaced with someone cheaper) So, no raises. Also no holiday pay, no weekend differential, no opportunity for advancement of any kind, and for those staying up daily until 11 and 12 at night completing documentation, no overtime. What there is, is management. Lots of management, attending meetings and poring over clinician's documentation and offering pointless and often erroneous criticism. (I'm not saying there isn't room for constructive criticism, just that none is ever offered) One other thing there isn't, you may have guessed, is a union. If there was ever a corporation crying out for one, Celtic is it.

    Advice to Management

Fire three quarters of your management and make the others spend a week in the field every so often. And schedule a couple of meetings to discuss fair pay for employees.

    Pros

Benefits are rewarding and upper management appears to have genuine concern toward employees. Compensation and benefits package that was offered were significantly better than I received from the company I worked for previously. I'm still wondering if there is a catch somewhere....it's that good!

    Cons

Going through transition period after recent buyout of former employer. So far all is going extremely well and has been a definite improvement over initial employer. At this time there have been no negative occurances to speak of.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! Looking forward to a long career with Celtic

    Pros

Great leadership, great culture, focus on patients and customers. It is heartwarming to receive letters from patients and families telling us about the wonderful care and service they receive from our caring and compassionate team members in the field. It is such a privilege to work in a field where you are rewarded daily for serving by knowing that you are donig something good for your customers and community.

    Cons

I really do not have a con for working at Celtic.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

Easy management to work with. Management is also very accessible when needed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone is easy to work with. The company cares about the patients they care for but also care about the staff who work for them. Thorough training. One of the best jobs I have ever had

    Cons

Sometimes a lot of travel...but that is to be expected in home health. As long as I plan ahead I can easily make it manageable
