I worked at Center For Diagnostic Imaging part-time

    Pros

Great co-workers, very flexible with my hours. Worked on my own and as a team. Decent benefits

    Cons

Management did not always listen, could be quite difficult to work with at times. Headquarters forgets about other markets outside of twin cities.

  2. Working for CDI

Former Employee - Medial Editor in Minneapolis, MN
Former Employee - Medial Editor in Minneapolis, MN

    Pros

Vey .employee oriented company. They expected your very best efforts and got them from most. Great benefits. As a medical editor I got to work from home, a real plus for a single mom. Expectations were high but so were the rewards.

    Cons

It seems that the same people were chosen for special projects all the time, the rest did the regular work. That was fine, but when a special projects person was on vacation, someone had to be trained vey quickly and expected to be proficient immediately.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up he good work

    Advice to Management

Tara Daniski is an amazing manager. Her training skills are outstanding and she know how to make you feel appreciated. She provides the necessary tools you need to do your jobs and then she lets you take ownership of your own work, making sure to provide feedback and praise.

I have been working at Center For Diagnostic Imaging full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people who work here are fantastic and the best in the business in Radiology. The culture and values are strong. The company is growing, which presents opportunities for interesting and challenging work and promotional opportunities over time.

    Cons

As the organization has grown, it takes longer for decisions to be made.

    Advice to Management

    Delegate more decision making authority.

I have been working at Center For Diagnostic Imaging full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people who work at the center level are great. Co-workers are friendly and more like a family. We provide the best care to the patients. Everyone truly enjoys what they do

    Cons

Upper management doesn't care and does not value the opinions of lesser staff who have been with the company longer than them. Lack of communication and massive lay-offs sucked the heart out of this company. When CDI merged with Insight it was the death of the company.

    Advice to Management

Maybe listen to the employees and tell the truth. Don't dance around the matter at hand.

I have been working at Center For Diagnostic Imaging full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

-Big company and easy to get into to the door -Benefits

    Cons

-Horrible managers -HR does not do a good job and sticks up for managers who abuse power and workers -The only way to Advance it to kiss up to managers and be a yes man -You get in trouble and they threaten to fire you when you point out flaw at the company - Pay in unbalanced people managers like het paid more than people they do not. -Managements idea of getting stuff done is to raise their voice and scream 4 letter words at you. -HR does nothing when you report stuff other then go to your manager who was most likely the person who did something. -I worked for CDI for over 7 years hoping for change but they went from one bad manager to another.

    Advice to Management

If your a manager at CDI you should get a new job at a fast food joint because that is all you are good for

Nice pay and insurance, co workers are ok

They don't let you take time off, even when you have pto. They add piles of work on your work load because they won't hire anyone else, even though they need to.

    Advice to Management

Work with your team and listen to their ideas as they are the ones working with patients.
