I have been working at Centier Bank full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Plenty of opportunity in variety of ways.......plenty of growth, awesome training, and diversity

    Cons

Procedures and management skills vary from branch to branch

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everyone should be held accontable equally. Would like to see all managers cross trained on the teller line and held accountable for teller mistakes like just like tellers are ie encoding, unposstables. Staff according to prevent security weaknesses.

I have been working at Centier Bank full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

They really do care about you and try their best to work around your needs - school, family, etc. It is a family atmosphere and the top management do know you personally. Lots of benefits and fun things throughout the year. You can tell they really try to take care of everyone everywhere in the organization, even when it isn't always easy. You can have a full career here.

    Cons

It is hard to get in because turnover is low. Some of the hours of the branches can be long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing and don't slip backwards with all the growth that is happening.

I have been working at Centier Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Centier truly cares about their employees and offers great benefits to full time positions. Therefor, making it a positive environment! Everyone is very knowledgeable and enjoys their job.

Whenever there is a problem there is ALWAYS someone there to help find a solution. Everyone at the corporate center does a fabulous job.

Looking for a great company with room for growth? CENTIER. However, due to the extremely low turnover rate it's near impossible.

You couldn't ask for a better president of the bank. Mike Schrage truly takes the time to get to know each and everyone of his employees. He treats everyone like family. In fact, working for Centier you will feel like you're one big family.

    Cons

If you are offered a position don't be fooled by how glorious everything is on the outside. The corporate center is beautiful and unfortunately that's where they leave it. If you are offered a job at the corporate center don't pass it up! If offered a job at a branch- don't expect reliability. If you are a part time position- expect to be used BIG time. Your job is to fill in the gaps. There is a possibility of working six days one week just covering lunches. What could be better than coming in to work Monday-Saturday for only 3 hours a day? Or the following week only working two days? Expect no more than 18 hours a week. You'll need a second income to survive. Depending on the manager, they generally don't allow you to have a second job due to the fluctuating hours they schedule you. Again, that is depending on the manager! Some support, some don't. Full time positions are steady hours. You generally always know what to expect. However, hours are being cut tremendously. They do NOT acknowledge your accomplishments instead you are critiqued for your mistakes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I believe management is doing best to their ability.

    Pros

Centier is a company that takes pride in their workforce. They provide numerous benefits to employees to keep them satisfied on the job and help maintain work-life balance.

    Cons

Due to the nature of the business it can require an employee to be flexible with working hours and scheduling.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is treated well and as a result management treats their employees well and with the respect they deserve; this is something that while good - needs to continually be focused on.
