I have been working at Central Health Plan of California as a contractor

    Pros

Unless you're behind or in a crunch to meet deadlines, it's a pretty relaxed environment to work in. Everyone is generally very nice and the office (bathrooms excluded) usually have a very nice, clean smell to it. Most of the department managers I know are understanding with their employees and will let you do your work whenever or however as long as you get it done and comply by the law as well as CMS guidelines. No micromanagement is always a plus!

    Cons

-There's quite an amount of office politics in this company.
-There are some people that just don't know what they're doing and will waste other people's time.
-Not much room at all to move up in the ladder unless you're planning on staying well beyond a decade.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please communicate more effectively with your department managers to understand what they're doing for you and also how much they're doing for you so you don't overwhelm them.

I have been working at Central Health Plan of California full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Coworkers are very nice. Many of them have been with the company for over 5 years, some over 10. It is a stable company to work for

    Cons

Compensation sucks. Pay is below average and medical insurance coverage is getting worse

I have been working at Central Health Plan of California

    Pros

good pay, lots of friendly coworkers, nice area to work in and lots of great restaurants to explore near the workplace

    Cons

no recognition of achievement, very small leadership circle, if you want to grow in your career you have to look elsewhere

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

provide recognition -- don't be shy to say good job! also, set up a training program and help employees grow and advance in their positions -- it'll only help the company

  6.

It's a nice place to work at, but things are repetitive.

I worked at Central Health Plan of California

    Pros

The pay is very well for temps. The environment isn't hectic because you have your own cubicle as a work station and communication with other employees is very limited.

    Cons

Things are repetitive and it might get boring really fast if you don't like doing data entry all of the time
