I have been working at Central Michigan University part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Fantastic benefits: health, dental, life, etc., tuition reimbursement, employee training programs, healthy lifestyle incentive programs, the list goes on! Great opportunities for advancement. Supportive culture. An employee can get as much out of their employment as they put into it; the opportunities are everywhere, it is up to you to take advantage of the many opportunities offered!

    Cons

Some union mentality impedes progress on a lower level - for example, having to wait for an office worker to make a call because that is their job duty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to seek input from all levels of employees. Continue to put the students first.

    Pros

work/life balance...in most cases you can get the time off you need to accomplish the goals you have for yourself. Employees all seem to get along with one another.
