I have been working at Central Michigan University part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours. Convenient schedule painting. Food/drink benefits. No work on holidays. Coworkers always make the job fun.

    Cons

Very low pay for the amount of work. Managers that don't treat you the best, or acknowledge input. Customers also are not the best.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We're all students - treat us as such. First and foremost students, employees second. There's too high expectation of us to do the low pay jobs that we do.

I have been working at Central Michigan University

    Pros

CMU truly cares about their employees and they have worked feverishly to continue down this employee appreciation trend. They care about leadership and personal growth and I highly suggest looking into further development opportunities. They've worked hard to make sure that information is more transparent and that their leadership understands that.

    Cons

It's a public university, so it can be difficult to keep everyone on the same page and for leadership to be exactly what it needs to be. They also tend to spend a lot of money, but that's the reality of an educational institution.

    Pros

A good work eniviroment, you will gain alot of experience working here. Once your done with your work you will have time to study for classes.

The only con is the amount of pay and the amount of hours you can get. The library is a stickler when it comes to not going past 20 hours.
