    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you continue to hire people in their twenties my advice is to have your HR department do their research on how to keep employees motivated and interested in order to retain your intellectual property.

I worked at Central Transport International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The only pro I can honestly say this company has, was the other dock workers I worked with, as a group we worked like a well oiled machine and its a shame they treated us like crap

    Cons

The company was just a mess, the dock workers were constantly being bullied by our "supervisors" who couldnt take the time to step out of there lovely office to help us address and fix a problem. Instead we were left to fend for ourselves.

I have been working at Central Transport International part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Billing department is pretty easy to with at entry level. Good training, friendly atmosphere, and decent pay.

    Cons

They don't like hiring certain positions to full time, because they don't want to pay for benefits even if you're the top of the position. Poor communication. Lots of turn over. No incentive to stay even if you love the job. Raises, full time, advancement are rare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat every one fairly and be willing to take on a few good hard workers at full time instead of a lot of crappy workers at part time.

I worked at Central Transport International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

No known pros, wage was fair. no amount of money is worth the agravation caused by executive leadership. no plan, no direction, no vision, no plans for future.

    Cons

poor treatment, poor equipment. overall just a bad experieince, benefits are of no use to people outside of Michigan. vacation cant be used due to blackout, no leadership provided by family owners or execuitve leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

toss out the entire executive leadership team, start from scratch. get the family less involved. you had a chance to build a great company and blew it with poor leadership. Trust your people.

    Pros

You have nice co-workers, a decent pay, and you don't have to work on the weekends if you're in the call center.

    Cons

They still have paper paychecks (what century is this), we were told to lie to customers all the time, having customers scream at us all the time and barely any room for growth in the company.

    Pros

Nice people. Easy work for money.

    Cons

Absolutely horrible politics. Horrible management. The billing manager is a horrible person inside and out. HR is never willing to help you and are gutless heartless people. They are never willing to advance you no matter how good of a worker you are. The company is falling apart piece by piece. Trust me, do not work here, you will be miserable from day one. I worked here for 2 years and they fired me just for having my resume posted online. This place is a soul killer and will make you feel like your a legit piece of poop.

I have been working at Central Transport International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Central Transport offers a good salary and good benefits. Every day was different and the challenges were at times enjoyable, because it was something new.

    Cons

I feel Central Transport offered me very little sales training. When I first started my position was said to be 80/20 operations/sales. Then my position moved to 80/20 sales/operations and at this point the inadequate sales training made life tough. This position brought very long hours for a salaried position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better sales training program. Offer a better work/life ratio.
