I have been working at Century 21 Department Stores part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

No pros to speak of really.

    Cons

The pay is poor, you only get four hour shifts with the exception of Saturdays and they do not allow people to take time off, hence people call out sick left and right. This job is torture and the pay is dreadful not to mention you have to get pat downs leaving the store and must also pass through a metal detector. You feel more like your serving time in a penitentiary than working a job.

I worked at Century 21 Department Stores part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Nice people to work with
    Nice customers

    Cons

    Low Pay
    10% discount
    Horrible working conditions
Can get fired easy and quick

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give hour lunch breaks and not just 30 minutes. Pay should start at 9 or more and based on experience more. Make the work environment more safe so less accidents can happen. Management needs to stop getting people fired just because they don't like a worker even though they do their job correctly.

Little can be said, those that have been there are there for the simple fact that the company is only there for your wallet and management clearly is driven for that goal as long as it benefits them and there position in the near future.

I worked at Century 21 Department Stores part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Had a wonderful experience with my co-workers, Hours and Department were set (didn't need to stay late).
There was room for advancement if you asked for it, and pretty easy register system.

    Cons

You did have to get patted down when you needed to go to the bathroom, get things, etc.
An impossibility to have Saturday off (often had to call out), HR was not helpful in addressing concerns.

Communication & Addressing Problems instead of going around them.

I worked at Century 21 Department Stores part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule if you are a college student and that's pretty much what I see.

    Cons

Terrible management. I've worked there for almost 2 years and the managers don't even know my name. They treat you like your nothing to them. They only pick 4 -5 people out of 100 for the employee of the month. Mandatory pat down only for the workers but not for the managers. Can't be late more than 2 minutes or they will write you up. No promotion or increment unless you stay there for 5 or more years. Very stupid rules to follow and if you ask questions they will write you up literally. And the list goes on and on

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please treat your workers with some respect, they are your workers not slaves. I know you pay them minimum wage but doesn't mean they will do everything you say to them
