    Pros

People are great to work with. Everyone for the most part gets along well. We work hard and play hard.

    Cons

Mr. Burton needs to value his people. Salaries may be a liability; but they should be looked at as an asset. With out good people you do no have a good business.

  3. Company cannot keep good personnel. I like the people I work with but not who I work for.

    Pros

Great co-workers who want and try to do a good job for clients.

    Cons

No rewards for good work. Decreasing pay due to increases in benefits costs. Never had a raise.

    Advice to Management

Give people raises. Have a matching 401K (even though most people could not contribute due to low pay).

    Pros

Coworkers at the local level are talented and knowledgeable.

There are a lot of long-term employees which fosters a sense of belonging.

There are opportunities for learning and growth in the production areas, but not a lot of people leave, so growth is fairly slow.

    Cons

Corporate HQ is out of touch with locations, and also out of touch with best practices to manage the business.

Their focus seems to always be looking backward and trying to find someone to blame for not making their "numbers" instead of having a cohesive, long-range business plan.

    Advice to Management

Use the collective wisdom of the employees who are closer to the day-to-day operations to inform your business decisions.

    Pros

national platform to really focus on clients needs.

    Cons

its all bits and pieces. No technology to speak of to actually do what they tell the market they can do. Its cheaper to print and outsource finishing services and fulfillment than to do it through the internal resources.

    Advice to Management

They know what they need to do. They are too busy lining there own pockets and padding their positions.

    Pros

The people you work with are wonderful. Some of the most hard working people (hourly employees) you will ever find.

    Cons

Horrible management, no directives, lies, lies and more lies. If the company doesn't hit numbers for a quarter, they are making cuts in staff. I don't think they realize by cutting workforce to a bare minimum that they aren't going to meet their numbers. No work life balance at all.

    Advice to Management

Grow up and look at who is really running the company...the hourly people.

    Pros

Honestly can't think of any. It's a corporate driven environment where the only thing that matters is money. Not customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction or pride in the products that are produced.

    Cons

If you enjoy working at a company that refuses to provide the tools needed to succeed, go to work for Cenveo. The corporate management will continuously point out problems, but they never offer any solutions or provide support financially.

    Advice to Management

Stop setting your employees up to fail. If Bob Burton is only concerned with lining his pockets and not in making the company profitable, he needs to sell his stocks and move along.

    Pros

If you land a big account you can make a lot of money (until Mgmt changes its mind and takes it away)

    Cons

Mgmt is too busy answering to HQ to spend time with line employees
Sr. Mgmt treats everyone like a number
Mgmt makes promises and doesn't deliver including pay and commissions
Benefits are very expensive and not good
10% pay cut for everyone in 2009. 12.5% commission cut for sales in 2015

    Pros

Half-decent pay rate for an economically-depressed area; but only if you are single without children or married and not the primary wage-earner. Even at that, the pay does not justify the workload and conditions of the job.

    Cons

Extremely poor employee relations. Complaints, concerns or suggestions are largely ignored. "Corporate" team does not care at all about production staff. Seniority system is pretty much ignored and useless here; despite being a union shop. No raises in sight, yet pay was actually reduced by 5%. Terrible health insurance; extremely expensive with low coverage. 401k is offered but company does not match a single penny. An excessively burdensome attendance policy, especially for parents (we all know how situations and emergencies with children can arise unexpectedly). Company continually pushes more production and more responsibility onto workers to "make the company profitable" without any kind of corresponding compensation, or hope thereof. Too many "Top Dogs" it seems; who just throw scraps to the "mutts" that earn them their cushy jobs and salaries!!!

    Advice to Management

"Treat employees like they make a difference, and they will!" LISTEN and ACT on employee concerns and complaints!
