Pros
You don't have to work hard here to survive. It's essentially a game of hiding for the low performers, however no one stands out at this place.
Cons
Many people got laid off seemingly at random. Also, many smart, talented employees were bored to tears given that they weren't engaged.
Advice to Senior Management
Engage employees at all-levels. Many talented employees leave voluntarily because they are underutilized and bored. There wasn't a coherent talent development strategy. It was more clear that the goal was to leverage assets for acquisition by another company - rather than develop them.
Pros
Flexible work schedule/work life balance
Nice facilities & people
Cons
Future uncertain due to pending merger and loss of CEO
Lots of politics, infighting, & backstabbing...cliques
One-way, need to know communication platform
Advice to Senior Management
Open, honest communication; Encourage teamwork; Hold people accountable, Reward performance
Pros
The people here are awesome, Benefits are unparralled
Cons
Upper management can sometimes be disconnected from the rest of the company
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to what the company tells you.

Pros
Great Benefits, ability to innovate, evolving culture, summer Fridays, most people are easy going and friendly, faster pace than big pharma, great pay,
Cons
Growing organization that is still refining processes and procedures. This may not bode well for those seeking structure. Culture is evolving and requires flexibility.
Pros
Benefits are great and people are nice.
Cons
Leadership is needs to be cleaned up
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of some of the top level executives who don't have the type of leadership skills required to enable growth in their departments.
Pros
Great Medical Benefits, and good dental/vision (new)
Salary
Excellent PTO
Cons
Senior Management continue to change policies and procedures for multiple things without asking feedback, checking programs before initiating, and little communication (if any) before rolling new procedure out.
Overlook slackers and come down hard on those that bust their humps if one thing is not 100% accurate.
End of yr review is pointless, especially when finding out that "ratings" were given based on how many for each team (ie: Team with 10 ppl told can only give out so many "2s" - which means above satisfactory)
New VPs all from Wyeth - trying to make us the next Wyeth
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to the little men. Things may run smoother if you took the time to ask our opinion about something before changing policies.
Pros
ggod salary and benefits
nice cafeteria
still growing
Cons
poor sneior management
silo mentality
very compliance focused- no innovation
over aggressive acquisition strategy
lack of other strategy
Advice to Senior Management
Clean house- you need some new competent senior leadership
Pros
not many to be found other than salary. flat organization without leadership and/or direction...work like big pharma think like small biotech is the montra..but does not live up to those words or deeds
Cons
too many to list..just go find a job somewhere else. everyone left here are the dreads of the earth and can not behired outside of here, hence they have no other option but to stay....people that leave are viewed as traitors...
Advice to Senior Management
selll the company to someone who can manage a diversified portfolio with experience..there is none to be found within this management
