Pros
Employees are hard working and most take pride in their jobs. Pretty good about allowing flexibility with work/home life. In a great location.
Cons
Moral is not great these days. There is a feeling that Management could care less if you stay or not. New Management is only set on being paperless these days. Do not care whether it makes the job more difficult for the worker. Implementing programs in a hurry and they are not ready.Job security is not known.
Advice to Senior Management
Be Truthful. Don't be afraid to stand up for your employees. Would be nice to feel like Management truly cares. Stop adding new programs and fix the ones we have. Get the data in right and everything else will fall into place. Add more employees for 'quality control'. Will pay in the end.
Pros
They had great benefits when I started, 4 weeks PTO and work from home were nice perks while at Ceridian.
Cons
3 bosses in two years, lost a lot of business do to the fact we could not even get a good ref. from one of our thousands of happy customers.
Advice to Senior Management
Figure out if you are a sales, customer service or operational company and focus on it! Stop wanting to be sales focused but then let operations get in the way.
Pros
3 weeks off per year, take when you want. Job is clear and support from management is greatl
Cons
Can be very boring at times
Advice to Senior Management
More opportunities for advancemnet
Pros
4 weeks vaction...now its down to 3 for new hires
Cons
Disregard for value of employees
Lack of rewards for a job well done, including horrible increases each year
Bonus eligibility taken away from most staff...but senior leadership is still eligible which is all that matters, right?
Company doesn't invest in people or resources.
Expectation is that fewer people are needed for a job than is reality.
Too skinny on the actual workers and too fat on senior leadership and middle management.
Company doesn't do any one thing well, they prefer to do a hundred things poorly.
Advice to Senior Management
Start viewing your employees as the folks who make it all happen rather than the view that employees are lucky to be at Ceridian. Start valuing us. Reward those who do an exceptional job...not just sales reps that sell but also the behind the scenes staff at HQ and the other main offices. Drop your own bonus because you don't deserve one if we don't deserve one.
Pros
The Military OneSource, MYCAA program is a wonderful benefit for military spouses and it made me proud to support such a program.
Cons
The management is not competent and do not manage the program or the employees. There is a flagrant disregard of managing DOD resources. They lost good people who could not stand the lack of integrity of the program.
Advice to Senior Management
Get someone in there that has the integrity to run the program honestly.
Pros
Mid to senior level employees at Ceridian are wonderful. I met and worked with great people and got great experience. There were also opportunities to work on a variety of projects and influence decisions.
Cons
Identity crisis. Ever since Ceridian was Control Data, they have grappled with who they are ... and with who they want to become. I was there nearly 10 years and a number of scenarios played out. Unfortunately, change keeps coming and executive leadership keeps revolving. Leadership is never in place long enough to stick to a long-term strategy.
Advice to Senior Management
Sell the Health and Productivity Services and Small Business divisions. Operate Comdata as a separate division. Build the Ceridian business around benefits and hr/payroll and make acquisitions that would improve technology.
Pros
Work Life Balance was good. Ceridian allowed for a fair amount of autonomy in my job function.
Cons
Lack of training with team members. Monthly job report took too much time to fill out and later found out these were never looked at.
The new management created tention in the job families. Layoffs were anticipated and happened frequently.
Pros
The Ceridian Company pays very well, so that is probably the best aspect of working for the company. Also, they are pretty flexible with scheduling.
Cons
I felt as though management was not very concerned with employees. They are reluctant to share issues with the employee until they have grown exponentially.
Advice to Senior Management
They should be more concerned with the daily or weekly concerns of employees. Problems need to be dealt with on a more basic level, so they can be easily dealt with. They also need to have better communication with employees.
Pros
People who do the work are awesome. 4 weeks PTO if you are allowed to take it. Potlucks and parties within the office
Cons
Management doesn't know how to manage. Awful work life balance. They do not promote from within ever. Raises are a joke. Management openly retaliates against employees. Lazy project managers. High attrition rates.
Advice to Senior Management
You have no clue. You deserve everything that is happening to this company (high ee turnover, broken products, inability to bring in business and retain customers.). I hope you all end up unemployed and living on the street due to your bad decisions. Give your employees that have stuck around a retention bonus.
Pros
Good people to work with
Location is a plus
Cons
Lack of consistency within company.
Poor mgmt, favoritism, unfair practice
Mgmt being dishonest with employees
Very low employee morale
No motivation and upper mgmt seems to not care if employees leave or stay
Poor products (does not work)
Advice to Senior Management
Try to not be so obvious in your favoritism, learn the product
Lets work on products that actually works!
Fix the failures (servers) so we can actually support our products.
