Do some focus groups with the bottom level of the org chart and actually listen to what they are saying - I bet our customers feel the same way.

The people you work with are great.

Constantly changing focus and strategy. Very reactionary and not very proactive. Allow clients to fail and yell before management takes action.
Advice to Senior Management
Decide on a strategy and stick with it. Focus in on a few important things and don't try to do it all at once. Be more proactive when the people close to the client sense issues. Don't wait for things to fail before you take action.

Customers are definitely our priortity because they generate revenues that allow you to be in business, however your internal employees are just as important. If you value them properly then they will pass these values on to the customer.

Negotiate your salary before coming in the door, it will be a minute before you get more than a 2% raise. Poor Laptops; should be a little better about technology since that is what we do.

Continue to work on new ways to implement your product. I think Ceridian is on the right track.

No room for advancement, no recognition for a job well done - expectation is do more with less each year; benefits have dwindled each year.

Management does not show respect toward staff. Decisions made in vacuum. Staff evaluated on meaningless metrics. Exec management is extraordinarily poor, very self centered and self-promoting.

For the good and future of Ceridian as a corporation, Implementation senior management should resign before the entire rank and file leave the company floundering.
Pros
Ceridian has a great benefits package and vacation policy. Additionally, the training they give new employee's is bar none one of the best I have ever seen. There is no job shadowing, which needs to be addressed. But the actual training itself is wonderful.
Cons
Middle management is completely driven by the decisions of upper management and hold little to no power. This causes problems when employees want to see change/improvement. Everything has to go through upper management. Additionally, good resources are overworked and under appreciated. 50-60 hour weeks are normal and are almost expected. There is no clear vision for the future at all. They have been operating off the same payroll software engine for the last 30 years.

Management needs to value their employee's more. Good resources are overworked and stressed out. When low performers make mistakes, the high performers are expected to pick up the pieces. And complete their job as well.

Make it a place where you can grow your career and treat temporary employees better.

Could not compete against the pro's like ADP & Ultimate.... If they choose Ceridian the rep should be rewarded 10 fold but eventually they will leave once they realize the mistake they have made.

Get in the trenches with the reps and get rid of all middle management... The gravy train is over and in order to be successful in biz today you must be able to roll up your sleeves and get dirty not sit in an office playing with presentations.
